We trade this year's, 2021's & 2022's firsts for number 1, & pick Derrick Brown. The Huddle goes berserk. Tepper (who was at the draft) hops on his plane, flying back to Charlotte in a rage. Cam & his family celebrates.

People get shook & Burrow starts falling down the board.

Then, while the dolphins are on the clock, Marty contacts the Chargers & works out a trade of this year's, 2021's, & 2022's second round pick for #6.

Rhule threatens to quit. Tepper arrives & yells "Marty you SOB!" Marty holds up one hand because he's on the phone with Cincy's GM. 

Cincy's GM says, "Marty! I owe you a thank you! 3 #1s AND Joe Burrow!? Please let the Chargers screw this up!"

Marty says "The Chargers don't have the pick. I do..."

A string quartet runs in & plays a dramatic sting. 

They work out a deal where we get all of our first rounders back, plus Cincy's best O lineman. Cincy picks Burrow & at #7 we pick Jerry Jeudy.

Marty is congratulated, & goes off to bang Jennifer Connelly.

For any who haven't seen it, aside from names & couple of position changes, that's the actual plotline. Kevin Costner gets 1st pick, 7th pick, & an impact player for 3 second round picks.

Only value that movie has is a lot of people haven't seen it, so its funny when you break out the scenario & they wonder WTH you're talking about.

I was disappointed.

What sucks is that they could have used realistic draft scenarios and made it a much better movie.

      I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.

      Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
