Lenoir-Rhyne safety Kyle Dugger

6'2''    220

Yes a D2 player but had an excellent Senior Bowl against the big boys.

Played basketball in high school where he played QB for his team.   Great athlete, great size, flies all around the field.  Also a punt returner.

During his redshirt junior season, Dugger thrived as both a returner and defensive back. In 14 games, he averaged 17.2 yards per punt return, along with three interceptions and a whopping 13 pass deflections.

Senior year...Despite being cut short due to injury, Dugger made a huge impact once again this past season. He amassed 31 tackles, four passes defended, and two picks, one of which he returned for a score. Dugger added another two scores on punt returns as he continued to show his scoring prowess and versatility.

If he does well at the combine as far the mental stuff, he'll probably go in the third, possibly late second.  We have more pressing needs early in the 3rd, but if he's there in the 4th....

In this article, Dugger’s strengths and potential are broken down, including his ability to play linebacker at the next level. He diagnoses plays very quickly and shows a great willingness to blitz well and stop ball-carriers in their tracks.

Devin Durvenay could go day 3 and I like him as a slot guy.  Tough and fast.

Only this year is he a day 3 selection....What a group of WRs.  We need one too.  I like his body control--built like a RB---He is a game changer--in the 4th round--yes, please.

Great choice!!!  He is a beast.  I think he will be gone by the end of day 2.  At  SR Bowl, he actually stood out.

Thaddeus Moss, TE.

I have 2 questions, one will be resolved at the combine:

1.  What is his speed?  He has the hands and the body positioning, and I will bet he is faster than he looks.

2.  Can he block?

Thanks-hard to argue against those points.  The more I learn, the more I am convinced that LT and WR are musts for this draft.

WR is a Must at some point in the draft.

I wouldn't draft a WR early rd 2-3 if I think I couldn't get the value at DL at the same spot OR feel I couldnt get that impact DT etc in the next rd feeling how the draft is going..

Drafts position runs really impact how drafts roll.

Jalen Hurts

I think Jalen is a work in progress--he has some breakdowns and some cerebral issues that can be corrected in time.  For example, he has never been asked to do much at the LOS and he is slow through progressions--staying with the first read too long.  But he is likely to be there in the third round---and in a year, could be a solid starting QB.

Anytime a player loses his job and has to transfer, it hurts his stock.  Jalen did not disappear; he was positive and a team player at Bama after losing his job, working just as hard as he did as the starter.  He goes to Oklahoma and wins.  I think his stock is beaten down a bit unfairly--making him a sleeper and a household name.

Scouting Report (Draft Network): Projection: One of the most celebrated athletes wherever he’s been, Hurts is a winner, who also displays high levels of leadership. His poise and maturity are well beyond his years and he’s made tremendous strides overall in his game. Transferring to Oklahoma was a blessing in disguise as he was able to show his passing abilities. Still with a long ways to go, he can become a bit gun shy when in tight situations and his accuracy when testing tight windows leaves a lot to be desired in some areas. His mobility helps while becoming a bit trigger shy, but on the next level it will take a team that’s fully invested in him in order to see his potential. Hurts projects as a top-75 pick, but he still has a lot of developing to do as an overall passer in order to become a consistent starter.

Hurts is 6-2, 220 and a solid athlete.  He completed a fraction under 70% of his passes, 32 TDs and 8 Ints.  Not too shabby.

Hurts is def a guy I wouldn’t be mad about drafting if they got him in a good spot. I don’t know where he projects but if we go fall to after the third round I’d love the pick.

If we waste another early pick on a mediocre QB, I’ll be pissed. Hurts is mediocre and like Grier, most likely to be at best a backup and at worst off the roster before the rookie deal is up. Maybe 6th or 7th, bug even then I’d rather take a shot at an OL like Daley or a WR that would normally go in the 4th.

I really do not know what they are thinking at QB--do they think they can build a line and some weapons and go with a game manager?
