Wouldn't make a lot of sense to break the bank on a pass rusher like that. It would make even less sense to trade away a significant draft pick and THEN break the bank on a pass rusher. 

I would love to have him but we don't have Colts money laying around, unfortunately.

A team on the cusp of a Superbowl run, like maybe Green Bay or Seattle, could use a guy like this. The Panthers are probably 3-5 years away from needing to add guys like this

Four?  If it continues ANOTHER SIX more years he’d STILL only be 37, the age Peppers was brought back and an age Reggie White got 16 sacks.  As one of the top athletes in the world, no doubt he’d be a double digit sack man and all-around DE...in ANOTHER SIX years.

Many other Panthers.  For starters, #1.  From day 1, (after the Stanford golden boy shunned the Panthers), in his NFL Network interview with Deion Sanders, he said he wanted to go #1.  A decade later (like his franchise DE) he’s said he WANTS TO BE in Charlotte.  He’s broken numerous records and provided an element to the position never seen.  He’s also done countless good for the community.  For the media and many clueless fans to try and run him off like they did #76 is absolute insanity.
