Do you know ANYTHING about aerosol of which this virus belongs and is smaller among the vast aerosol particles out there. They don't go around these barriers they go through.

You realize there are actual clinical trials out there on mask effectiveness, right? The evidence is very strong. But, keep convincing yourself otherwise because it's what you desperately want to believe.

It's sad that the same people who cried about the lockdowns while claiming there had to be another solution are now crying about the very simple and minimally inconveniencing alternative solution.

A mask is more for protecting other people from you than to protect you from others. Put a mask around the nozzle of fabreeze and spray and get back to me. Even if the spray gets through, the amount and velocity is greatly reduced.

A physician assistant friend of mine gave me this example. 
 

Imagine two kids with no pants on. If one kid pees they both get wet. If one kid pees and the other kid has pants, the other kid kinda gets wet. If they both have pants on, only the kid who pees gets wet.

So what? Ignoring any/all potential differences in these situations and assuming that not mandating masks at that time was some kind of failure, why does a past failure justify a current one? That is nonsense.

Exactly why is the mask thing such a big deal?
 

It’s just a really minor inconvenience at best.

If it helps, why not do it?

Countries that wear masks have much lower cases of Covid than we do.

We ARE wearing masks, been to the grocery store or Home Depot? We test more, have a bigger and better medical system. Of course we can find more. It's out there now courtesy of :

The body count apposed to cases makes it a flu. Not what we are presently going crazy over 100 or so days out from election.

It literally is not a flu. Influenzas and Corona/Rhino viruses are literally two different.

And this is an entirely different situation, especially at this point, with 2009 being a different H1N1 virus that had much shorter incubation periods (minimizing the risk of asymptomatic spreading) and a different segment of vulnerable population. Your position continues to make little sense.
