Panthers To Allow Cam Newton To Seek Trade

If you don't want Cam as the QB then tell him and make it clear to the fan base. Be open and honest about your plans for the future. What's with the b.s deception? Is that what we're going to have to deal with under Tepper? Just move the Panthers to Mexico City so we can have a new franchise. This has been the worst off season I can remember. If we're going full rebuild and dumping everyone then be straight up about it.

The HC just said he was excited about working with Cam a couple of weeks ago. He just said Cam could get til September to heal if he needed it.

And some of us said not to take what a team says about a player they're considering trading as gospel.

A team always wants to keep a player... right up until they don't.

Ya'll do realize this team won't be drafting #1 next year and won't get Lawrence as some of you think? We won't win many games, but we won't be 0-16 or 1-15.

They literally don’t care as long as we get a white qb. Rational thinking people know you need the #1 overall pick to get Lawrence and we’ll probably end up too 5 but not #1

There is quite a possibility of 0-16. We don’t even have a roster right now. We’ve been signing bit pieces. Rhule is notorious for bombing his first year. And this is the big leagues. If we don’t have cam and don’t bring in someone like bridgewater... ya. Plus Hurney.

    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
    • These refs are horrible.  They definitely got money on this game lol.
    • I don’t think the concept is bad thinking. That money this year is a ball buster, for getting nothing out of it.    gives him a little future location security and maybe hope that if he can get back we’ll pay him, with a renegotiation. Could give us some relief this year. That is kind of creative.
