I see our needs in no particular order as CB, NB, NT, UT, OG, TE, EDGE, MLB/OLB depending on how they view Shaq, S

Is that all? :fear:

I think Whitehead's ability to play inside, along with Kusanzyk--might suggest that we are going to use Thompson in the old Thomas Davis role.  I am guessing Carter to the other side, and Whitehead or Kusanzyk in the middle (Do not sell Kusanzyk short--he is decent).

Edge?  I am under the impression that we are done there.  Burns, Obada, Miller, Weatherly, Haynes--we could add one--we talked to that DE from Syracuse who could fall to us late-but I do not see a game changer in this draft after the first round.

We are thin at S--I think we will fill that with a late draft pick or undrafted player.  Blanding from UVa has been hanging around on the PS for a couple years....

I dunno.  I think we better find and sign a DT before the draft.   I am guessing we are waiting for prices to drop.

#embracethesuck, and draft BPA period, fill all holes with cheap players, this team is on a two year curve to be competitive. That bs article, about ''Believing The Panthers Can WIn With Teddy'' is a bunch of bs.

Our defense is nowhere near complimentary to a 4-3: Burns, Haynes, and Miller are 3-4 OLB's

Poe I think is still under contract but expected to be released, that leaves - Short, and Hamilton

We have NO secondary on the perimeter, we need to be in BPA mode, we're going to be bad, and with Brady, Bress, and Ryan at QB, Teddy + this roster isn't winning any duels.

Look for us to have a 3-6 win season, and I doubt that as we have the AFC West this year. I see us at 0-6 in the division, maybe wins over DEN, and OAK, and a random win here or there to wrap the season.

Unless we absolutely nail the draft, Rhule will be the uncrowned coach of the year if he manages six wins with the roster we're taking into this season. But, I don't feel sorry for him. I don't think for a minute that he's not the driver of this bus. Marty is his rubber stamp.

Edge is a need, we only have Brian Burns there and is one of the most important positions on the field, Weatherly is a long shot

S Juston Burris is an unknown, Tre won't be here forever

Whitehead is again a patch but we need a longterm solution at LB beside Shaq

I think we're going after Okunda. No source, just me thinking from where we're at at wishing...

I do not see Okudah getting to us unless Detroit trades out of the top 7---and they could.

I agree on all counts, but we cannot address all of our needs this offseason.  Cap room and draft picks are limited.  So I was coming from the perspective--where are we going to address needs with the available resources?

Burns and Weatherly, with Obada, Miller, and Haynes behind them may have to do, for example, since we only have 1 CB, 1 DT.   Where are we finding a DE better than Weatherly once we draft 2 DTs, 1 CB?  Free agency?  Not on a budget.

I think we agree, just coming from different perspectives.  I am looking at the resources we have left and how to use them.  DE, from that perspective, does not make the top 5 positional needs (CB, DT, DT, G/C must be addressed some how.

On paper, we look set at WR---we are not, and this is the best WR draft in NFL history---take a WR on day 2.  You have to.

And you are right, LB is a concern.  AHHHHH!!! too many holes.

Honestly, we still may be keeping too many people from last year's team.

Folks, you're fooling yourselves if you thought they weren't blowing up the team.

We'll be competitive by September, but we won't be in the hunt by the end of November most likely.

Once again, y'all wanted regime change. It's never as easy, pretty or fast as you'd hope. It's messy, rough and slow.

I am not sure I can recall an NFL team that blew up their roster to this extent.

That is one of the least talented rosters I have ever seen as a Panthers fan.

And last season going in, we had some of the most talented folks in a while (if you look at it from say an Aug. 15 date...).

It's still early, but the cupboard has been sufficiently cleaned out, I hope.
