More realistic would be that Cowherd has a source and he's just creating drama to fill slow sports time. It would serve  the team no purpose.

Cowherd is probably one of the worst tv personalities in sports, he picks a specific athlete and just down plays there every accomplishment. It’s a sham.
 

That being said chargers fans really like the idea of adding cam while possible pairing derwin James with Simmons. 
 

plus the chargers have a lot of good talent coming up on contract years, they need to be making a push for the sb while they have some of them still on cheap deals

Find it notable that if the Chargers are truly interested they feel they have unlimited flexibility in terms of waiting time to see how draft and other things pan out before making a decision on Cam.

The Chargers are the only team left that doesn't have a) an established starter b) a guy they've had on roster for a couple of years that they're willing to give a shot, or c) a realistic chance to draft Joe Burrow.

There's been speculation that Newton might have to be willing to accept a backup role or wait to see if somebody goes down with injury (not guaranteed).

No one in their right mind takes Taylor over Cam.

I’m a VT fan, and I like Tyrod. I want him to succeed. But he’s never had Cam’s talent or ability. To say otherwise is laughable.

Dolphins?  

I dont spend much time looking at mock drafts but several I saw showed both Dolphins and Chargers drafting a QB (Tua and Herbert depending).

I see some are now suggesting otherwise.

Maybe I missed the reason Dolphins aren't interested.

For signing now or soon?  Yes, I think the Chargers are the only option.

However, I don’t think they sign him.  I think the most likely scenario is for him to get signed Somewhere in training camp or preseason....if someone gets hurt or someone’s option looks bad.

i also think that scenario gives can the most leverage.
