Jaguars looking to trade Fournette

It's possible, but same as it was with us, if teams think they're just going to let him go at some point they might not offer anything.

If more than one team really wanted him there would be competition to sign him....this would be true whether before or after the Jags release him.

Looks like Fournette is headed into the same limbo as Cam.

Except for the Cowboys.  They signed Aldon Smith *SMH*

Damn, helluva off field rap sheet he has.

Tell you the truth I didn't know anything about the guy, amazing he's getting another look after not played since the middle of 2015.

All that said, looks like most of his troubles are personal in nature and don't undermine the "team" aspect if you will.

I doubt he ever contributes to Cowboys on the field.

Kinda like releasing Cam Newton?

I doubt they would let him go this year.  Releasing a good and healthy player with a relatively small cap his is not much of a gain for them.   Well other than getting rid of a guy who wanted his friend to be qb instead of the guy they have.

Cutting Cam Newton this year did save us a ton of cap space, so there was something in it for us.

It's being speculated that they might.

Will they? Don't know. But if they're pissed at him, it wouldn't be a shock. He isn't that great a player and his being lazy doesn't help.

I would say he is great when healthy.  But health has been an issue.  But you are right, we don't know what is going on behind the scenes.

If he does get traded, could be the best thing for him.  Worked out for Marshawn Lynch.

Just vindicates those of us who by the draft felt that McCaffrey was a much better choice for us given we had Stewart at the time. Fournette was a running back and that was it. McCaffrey was a Swiss army knife and Fournette was a pen knife. This just reinforces it. One became the highest paid back ever and the other is likely to be traded or released.

There's a heavy toll to be paid for that running style. It's why the Titans franchised Derrick Henry instead of giving him a long-term deal. Not many battering rams are built to last.

I do wonder sometimes if Stewart's career was actually extended by him spending a 2-3 year period with enough injuries to keep him on the sidelines more often than not.  I mean the injuries themselves hurt him, but they did give the rest of his body a break.  Enough of a break for his 8th and 9th seasons to be effective.

Random comment along those lines, I loved watching Marion Barber run the football.
