Teddy is not our QB in 3 years. He's fine for now because, believe it or not, we're not going to win the SB this year... shocking, I know.

But I would rather have every pick (even trading down to get more) to build our O-line and entire defense, so that when we do get our QB of the future, we actually can protect him and not have to play from behind every game.  Lawrence or Fields, come and play on your feet, not on your back.  Teddy can be our Alex Smith, and Justin Fields can be our Mahomes.

I'd put up with two years of Teddy if it meant we drafted Sam Howell two years down the road.

I was 98% done with Dave after he drafted Barkley #2 overall, then he drafted Jones it-was- OVERR!!

Funny part is besides those two huge dumbass decisions, hes drafted petty good..... much better than Herniay. He has been close to the top tho.

Im no Teddy fan, but I believe he will exceed your expectations.

Hes a checkdown god, right? Could you ask for a better group than CMC, Moore, Samuel, Bonnafon, Thomas(maybe) and Anderson to keep defensives somewhat honest? Plus his personality is a perfect fit with Rhules plan too. I didnt want him and much rather just added Walker and have a real QB battle.... But the tiny of light coming off this crazy off-season, should be Teddy at QB.

Hes still "QB young" even after his contract, if Brady doesnt bolt for a HC job, this could be a ten year deal.

Daniel Jones is better than even Joe Burrow or Chase Young right now. I would give NY the #7 in a heartbeat. The kid is a stud and Panthers fans are stupid to talk trash about Jones. This will never happen because it’s all bullshit. Giants throwing smoke for someone to trade up. They are not that stupid.

It wouldn't be difficult to exceed my expectations. I think his ceiling is probably what Ryan Tannehill was this past season. I think his reality will be considerably less than that.

Also remember how bad this defense will be and how many times the panthers will behind points wise. Teddy will be throwing and padding his stats, just so the panthers only lose 48-33 most times.

They absolutely aren't going to take Herbert, but as a hypothetical I would give them #7 in a heartbeat for DJ.

Yeah Jones is the real deal it would take a level on ineptness we haven’t seen before for them to move on from him. I’m guessing the Herbert noise is solely to drive a trade down for them?

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
