Tampa Bay's secondary is worse than ours

Maybe, but their front 7 is better than ours.  Particularly their lb.  Plus they have Brady and I am sure that most football writers think he plays cb, or safety or something on the defense as well as quarterback.

I cannot tell you how thankful I am that what football writers think to be the case has ZERO impact on an actual NFL game.

You can't take a system QB like Brady and stick him in a totally different offense and expect him to do well

This is true; and I know the writers aren't actually taking it into account in these articles....having a great QB can do wonders for your Defense as we all know.

Put up 20 on a team and have them playing from behind and now your Defense isn't as worried about the run.  Or if your Offense can keep the other off the field, your defense can rest.

Funny how all parts in football work together.

Until we prove otherwise... I can't argue with this. Based purely on last year, this is the result you get when tallying it up. When figuring in this offseason, you still end up with more question marks than exclamation marks.

We'll be better than advertised, but how much better is an unanswerable question. On paper... well, we're just back to a bunch of question marks.

I think it is a bunch of questions as what this defense will look like.

Brady isn't purely a system QB. He's a great player in his own right, but there is definitely an argument to be made for him entering an entirely new offense at the age of 90 in QB years.
