Calling it now, the first major injury...especially to a top player, the poo will hit the fan between the NFLPA and the League.

Why, the nflpa has been moving away from preseason games for years now. This is what they wanted

They've been wanting fewer preseason games, I agree, but without proper condition--game action--I can see more injuries occurring early on this year.

The NFLPA wanted no games. The league wanted 2. The league made the offer yesterday of no games.

Well yeah, this year is obviously different with zero preseason games being played.  Still saying it will be a big deal if some big-named guy gets knocked out for the year in the first game and the lack of conditioning be the scapegoat.

Oh for sure. It’s going to be nuts. The first 3-4 games will be crazy sloppy.

Honestly this could be a year where anything fuging goes. SB or bust for us.

This is actually the best shot we may have at the playoffs for a while. The complete and utter chaos of this season could result in us being a contender. I suspect it will go the other way pretty rapidly but, honestly, that is fine too.

This would be the worst year to have a mediocre season, though. 6-10 to 8-8. That would be absolutely awful.

At least our early schedule is pretty easy in terms of strength.  Could provide us opportunity to upset some opponents.

I would say veteran teams and coaching staffs will hypothetically have an advantage but the chances of pure chaos emerging are pretty high. I don't see that as a bad thing. Whether we somehow become a playoff contender or are an absolute disaster, we probably come out of the season better.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
