Teddy showed he can go through progression.  It was a nice pass, quit trying to throw shade on Teddy

Uh, I didn’t want to seem negative but the one thing on that play that didn’t look great was the pass. It’s just one pass but since we tend to look at one play in here and decide the season, he didn’t really hit Thomas in stride. Thomas has to jump and reach back and there’s no one close and no pressure.

Again just one play but that short of a pass with great separation and no pressure should be a little more on target. That’s the type of pass that with a not so challenged LB/DB crew would either crush Thomas while extended or be close enough to disrupt the catch. Heck with Thomas and Samuel last year that might be drop knowing that the D will be hitting them. It’s easier to extend and make that catch knowing you won’t get hit.

And Cam knows the playbook in New England and is commanding that offense right now....in a much shorter timeframe...in a more complex offense.

They are talking about using all three of their QBs by committee this season.

Lol no they aren’t. A simple google search of Cam Newton Patriots dispels any notion of that whatsoever.

Cam is leading the pack- don’t even try to pretend otherwise.

We really cant see everything going on from that clip.  It's most likely a broken play with the defender trailing.  If thats the case then the throw was perfect.

Cam wasn’t in the teams long term plans. Time to move on....or don’t and continue to cry about it, either way he’s not coming back.

Isn’t Stidham out with a hip injury?

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
