fwiw I doubt Moore comes down with that ball in the endzone regardless

he was about to get lit the fug up

That's why I initially didn't put it on him because he would have had to survive the big hit which was at the catch level comin gdown on the ball anyway.

it's about teddy, because we are trying to determine whether or not teddy is a franchise quarterback, because if he's not we need to get one. this couldn't be simpler.

moore dropped a game-changing ball in the end zone at the end of the first half. he needs work. he deserves criticism. he's not a quarterback however and we don't need him to be a franchise guy. this couldn't be simpler

And if DJ catches those passes that Teddy made

Then this is a different game if he makes those catches.

We're not forced to pass under 2 minutes against an elite D-line with a poo o-line that lead that dropped int if DJ catches those balls.

I normally do not agree with you here but this is spot on.

If D.J. is supposed to be a #1 WR he's gotta come down with thoses. Those are the off kilter throws Ryan, Ben and Hopkins used to throw to Julio, Brown and Nuk respectively.

D.J. was more of a let down than Teddy today.

This is how you can tell someone didn’t watch a game

nah. I don't think CMC makes much a difference in that game.

Short and Fat Hands, yeah, I think that does it. Panthers defense was just one play away all game and couldn't get it.

Short would have helped worlds, no matter what the huddle thinks. But when Davis went down late first half, if we were able to bounce our run game around between Davis and CMC perhaps we wouldn't have a crippled Davis by the end of the game. Even if CMC was just the supplementary. that or maybe not hide Bonnafon on IR to try and keep him and just keep him on the roster instead of this Cannon scrub(No offense dude but you aint a RB), your a ST star.

Watched every snap my man.

I just don't act on blind emotion and says this person sucks.

D.J. statwise had his best game of the season against a rookie CB and it doesn't matter because his drops were all in big moments.

We missed Cmac because he wins those one on ones after the catch that Davis is 50/50 on and our oline sucks at pass pro.

That last int Quinn came off the edge and Teddy couldn't step up. Forced a pass rather than take a sack he tried to push the ball. Bad decision but fug I've excused Cam for pressing in the past I'd be a hypocrite for doing that to Teddy.

Whose fault was that first INT?

Fair enough. I look forward to him bouncing back. This was the best defense he will face all season.

That's the concern. Good enough against average defense but fails when playing against elite defences.

To reach and win a super bowl you probably need a QB that can step up and deliver when the team around him fails. Not every game of course, but once or twice during a playoff stretch.

the last 2 offensive plays of this game were squarely on Teddy, but he had a decent 4th quarter before that.  which is just what teddy is... decent. he isn't great, he isn't spectacular, and he certainly isn't going to consistently beat great teams (edit: on his own) it seems.  he's decent, and he's letting us see what we have in our offense & oc.

and as far as the whole offense goes, we were sorely undermanned today at critical skill positions.  and despite that, we were in position to tie late in the game.  as far as overall progress of the team goes, that's actually promising.  but as far as evaluating Teddy, he definitely failed to add to his resume / argument for why he's a franchise qb.

    • I’ll get killed for this but he always sounded gay to me. Not necessarily not gay, but feminine.  I tried to say it in a more subtle way and still got killed for it last year. fug it I don’t care it’s an honest opinion. I didn’t let that disqualify him and have been very patient and non critical. I just wondered how the big tough guys in the locker room would respond to that.  But whatever, I think he thinks too much from the emotional side. The rah rah positive deal, what must it sound like if he gets mad? Where is the tough hard ass side? The no empathy, get the job done or get gone. I wonder about that. It mean I doubt there is a lot of fear of failure going on.    So anyway to other comments about he sucks and all that, I said I needed a better reason to change my stance on him, which has been give him time. Continuity is super important.  This thing with the running backs is eroding the goodwill.
    • He has a 54 mil buyout so he will be fine but LSU needs o move on.
    • Sure if you just blindly look at stats, you can pinpoint a couple areas that look similar. But come on man that's lazy analysis. Instead of throwing lower percentage throws, Dalton held onto the ball unconscionably long, leading to several of those sacks including that unthinkable one at the end of the first half, inflating his completion percentage. Bryce for all his flaws, does a pretty good job of escaping pressure and scrambling for 5 yards or throwing it away. Dalton's pocket presence was just so incredibly bad today, which led to both of his lost fumbles. If Bryce would just hold onto the ball and get sacked every 3rd play instead of throw it away or try a contested pass, his completion percentage would be 15 points higher than Dalton's today. And Bryce only had more yardage in 3 of 7 games? You mean when we played run heavy schemes in our wins, instead of Dalton being forced to throw all game cause we're getting blown out?  Look anyone is more than justified in arguing Bryce Young doesn't have the tools to lead this team to a super bowl. But he has been head and shoulders better this year than what Dalton showed today. That was just an abysmal perfomance.
