Y’all are making this wayyy harder than it needs to be.

4th quarter game on the line. Wide open DJ more that with a decent pass gets us 6. It was a terrible throw.

we manage to get the ball back. Throws a pick.

I don’t even care about his numbers or who was out or what was happening. He had his chance and he blew it. The end.

This should of ended the thread . People see what they wanna see i guess when they flat out wrong . Lol Teddy blew but I’ve seen worst qb play . See we all right now ha

Naah, it's just that nothing more need be said, as they say in the legal world the thing speaks for itself.

Just for fun though if you want to provide a few posts from the OP which expressed optimism about and support for Teddy B it might be useful to your position?

I never made a claim, therefore the onus isnt on me?

The title is obviously hyperbolic and reactionary, and if you actually were reading the thread, it was exactly that. You'd see a discussion and would have more to react to than a clickbaity title.

Stop getting held up by the thread name, Jeremy Igo and Proudiddy already reconciled that in the thread.

There are gems here and there within today's threads.  You came in slinging mud and handing out poo reactions, so if it's important to you, why don't you go find them?

But we both know that's not as fun as trolling based on perceptions and bias versus operating in reality and discussing what is clearly stated.

This is exactly what people who say he isn’t a franchise qb are saying. That if we have the opportunity to draft a blue chip qb we should absolutely do it. Because teddy is what he is. Just a piece to the puzzle. It might be this year or next year or the year after. But I hope this franchise does not hesitate. This just screams of the the Alex smith/Mahomes situation. Alex has them in the playoffs what 3 years in a row? And winning seasons.  If we never get that chance we just continue to draft in other areas and hope for the best.

but I’m taking a talented qb in the draft if it presents itself.

Yeah, obviously we’ll have a much better idea of where we stand in terms of drafting a QB at seasons end. I do think Teddy is a better QB than Alex Smith.

This team was able to win 3 out of 4 without CMC which is super encouraging. I don’t think CMC will be back this week but the following week hopefully we’ll get to see how this offense was intended to look. Especially so the team can get a better idea moving into this off season on where they stand with Teddy.

Because if we’re sitting in the 10-16 range and Zach Wilson and Trey Lance are there, you’d hate to pass on them because you weren’t entirely sure about Teddy. Given the way his contract is structured I’d like to believe if there’s any doubt about Teddy’s abilities and this scenario presented itself they’d pull the trigger

Neither of you like Mr. Bridgewater nor are you "pulling for" him to succeed, au contraire.  I know this to be the truth.

Proceed as you see fit...

PS...handing out the dumpers is just for fun, I don't really care but doing so does seem to particularly rile up @Varking :shades: and he fires back returning the favor 2X lol...good onya varking...dump away my man!

Spoken like a true caricature of a child with fingers in his ears, singing "la la la la la"

gross.

I did it because I knew you’d comment on it. You are easy.

Teddy has never come close to the level of play Smith achieved in his KC years. Smith had a 4000 yard 26 TD season with only 5 INTs in KC. Five 3000+ yard seasons. Three 20+ TD seasons. Didn't throw more than 8 INTs in any of those 5 seasons.

Meanwhile, Teddy is on pace for 16 TDs and 13 INTs. If I thought Teddy was capable of a 26/5 season I wouldn't be pounding the table for a QB.

It's over and done with, but this is awfully generous to Teddy.  Cam was throwing around 70% in his first year with Norv and was back in MVP talks before his shoulder gave out again.  So he's capable of throwing the passes that Teddy does.  Now, where they are different is, regardless of the line in place, when things break down, Cam has the ability to make plays with his legs, whereas Teddy's ability there is negligible.  I would be willing to bet money that Cam, and several other QBs with a little more physicality or wiggle would've scored on the that goaline 1v1 with Fuller where Teddy didn't.  Multiple plays the Bears GAVE him the chance to beat them with his legs, and he couldn't.  And he didn't do it with his arm either.

I don’t care about individual plays. People here are saying sticking with Cam would’ve been beneficial. It’s not logical to say that Cam would do better than he is this season in NE (which isn’t great) if he were in CAR - a worse situation by every logical standard other than CMC.

How does a QB do better in a worse situation? It’s reasonable to assume that if Cam were here he wouldn’t be doing poo either. He has a better situation in NE and he isn’t great. When things broke down against DEN today (not 2015 or 2018), cam did not do anything.

TB is outplaying Cam this season in a worse situation. There is no relevancy in looking at what cam has and did in the past.

Saying Cam May have done better on one play based on 2018 regardless of what he’s doing today in NE is irrelevant and shortsighted.

We have three WRs who would be the Pats' #1 outside WR.

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
