And Wes Welker has more NFL field goals (1) and extra points made (2) than he had in his entire college career (0).

I'm not talking about him being a full-time replacement, I'm saying we could use him for a game or two if he's capable.

So trot out a punter that kicked 4 FG in HS to play our division rivals?  That's a plan for when someone gets hurt in a game. Not with kickers available to be signed, even if it's the day before the game.

We also probably kick more FGs in the red zone than any other team.

Yeah, I mean with all the talk about being bad in the red zone and good outside, I can’t fathom anyone wiring surprised Slye leads the league in FGs.

2 OL is seriously more troubling, if this trickles onward we may have to start just throwing bodies out there and I say just leave CMC on IR if that happens. No need to wreck his future for 2-3 wins now. If we start having more issues, look for Marty to start his IR strategy where we have almost half the starters on IR so he can use that as an excuse.

We've been talking about Slye, but Scott being out means that Greg Little is our only backup at left tackle unless you count Dennis Daley (who hasn't been healthy).

WTF is wrong with Daley? He’s been a scratch with no practice all season. Wouldn’t he be ideal for the IR? Our OL is still by far the biggest issue especially with all the 2020 expiring contracts.

Still can’t believe we wasted a 2nd, 2 3rds and a 4th in the 2019 draft which was mega deep in IOL. We basically got nothing when Marty let Norwell walk the year before, knew Kalil was retiring and probably knew Turner was in his last year.

Daley has been practicing since Oct 7th. He's off the injury report

Dollar Store Dave pissed off Norwell by paying him UDFA money as a top guard in the NFL. He was going to go to the highest bidder no matter what.

Ankle problem, if I remember correctly. He hasn't been active for a game yet.

I know any kind of leg problem tends to be tough for big men.

Dear god...

I’ve lost count how many different players have played LT for the Panthers over the past few seasons but I’d be willing to bet one of the highest in the NFL.

Why’s he still inactive? He was supposedly the starting LG on the training camp depth chart.

Also, lol at the Gettleman hate. He wasn’t the top G until 2017, which was his last year while being a RFA and Gettleman was already fired. Gettleman didn’t have a chance to extend him when he was the top G and while we all liked him, nobody made him an offer as a RFA. That’s how UDFAs work so there would have been no hard feelings. Obviously, after what we’ve seen from Marty lately, he’s not big on Gs and he had no interest in resigning Norwell. Of course he’d take the huge deal, who wouldn’t?

Still has nothing to do with the fact that we ignored two deep IOL drafts while knowing we were completely dismantling the IOL which was a big key to the 4 playoff appearances. Those 3 gelling during the 2014 run was a big part of our success. Sucks that our IOL is now in shambles and luckily Brady and Teddy are accounting for it with the quick decisions and throws.

I don’t get the inactive unless he really hasn’t been impressive if he’s practicing. I remember before week 1 he was listed as the LG on the depth chart. I had no idea he was a “healthy” scratch the past two weeks.

I think why is a valid question.

I think hes the first one in RHules dog-house. Hes been healthy since week 4 and fully practiced all of week 5. I had high hopes for him and thought he had the LG locked up during TC. Hes been a healthy inactive, thats bad no matter what. Plus he is needed for 2021, BIG TIME.
