I think hes the first one in RHules dog-house. Hes been healthy since week 4 and fully practiced all of week 5. I had high hopes for him and thought he had the LG locked up during TC. Hes been a healthy inactive, thats bad no matter what. Plus he is needed for 2021, BIG TIME.

Yeah, I always caveated the whole only Paradis is signed for 2021 (ugh) among our starters because I thought Daley was still hurt and he absolutely was listed as LG starter before week 1. Now that he’s been a healthy scratch I feel even worse about our OL. Thankfully we are working around it unlike Ron and Mikey.

Gano was a good kicker, he just had some yips on the XP's. The level of hate here is absolutely comical considering the downgrade we made overall.

Don't have their stats in front of me, but just from observing them both, I'd guess they're pretty similar when compared at the same age.  Gano was never super consistent from what I remember, give or take one or two years here, and I' someone who lobbied to bring him here after he was let go by WSH.

The CDC has updated COVID contact guidelines. Previously, 15+ minutes closer than 6 feet with an infected person was what constituted an exposure. Today, they updated that to a cumulative 15 minutes within a 24 hour period. That may seem trivial on the surface, but as it relates to the game of football it's not a trivial update at all.

The hate is mainly from his non clutchness. He was a key to our 6-10 finish in 2016. Had almost as much impact as the OL injuries. At least 3 games we would have won if he was clutch. Had a great 2017 and then yips in the playoff game so a FG no longer wins the game and we don’t get the TD. He’s kicking for the 1 win Giants. No pressure. When we needed him he gaffed. Also, much of my dislike was knowing we had a much cheaper long term K option and we decided to spend a bunch of cap on a K who got injured and wasn’t better.

I’m definitely not happy with Slye. Don’t care now because it doesn’t really matter but we do need a better long term option.

Well damn...you're telling me Gano single handedly helped us lose just enough games in 2016 to secure Christian McCaffrey in the following draft?  In a year where best case scenario, we might have barely sneaked into the playoffs as the second wildcard team but had no chance in hell to be competitive?  A year we had the 26th ranked defense cause Gettleman gutted our secondary?  Hell, I just gained a lot more respect for Gano when you put it that way.  I would think you of all people could appreciate him single-handedly improving our draft position.

It's kinda poetic isn't it?  Two to three years ago, Gano was the "overpaid underperformer" and Butker was the cheap alternative.  Now Butker is the overpaid underperformer and Gano is getting paid vet minimum and playing well.  Things have officially come full circle. *Insert Batman quote about living long enough to become the villain*.

I do expect Butker to bounce back so I'm just enjoying the irony while I can.  Obviously I still wish we kept him over Gano, mostly just due to age and future potential...even though I believe Gano still has plenty of good years ahead of him.

Name me a kicker that doesn’t miss an occasional extra point ever since extra points were moved back? I’ll wait...

Exactly.

Stop bitching

Greg Zuerlein, Chris Boswell to name two of the 4 who did not miss an XP last season. There are 12 who have not missed so far this year. It happens every season.

Nobody expects perfect but better than 30th would be nice.
