Let's say Minnesota goes in another direction and Draft Ball. You guys okay with Edwards at 3, if Weisman is gone?

I think so.. I'd take a second and listen to teams that loves Edwards and want to trade up while we grab Okongwu.. but in the end - you take Edwards..

if you look at the consistent playoff teams the past few years (GSW, HOU, BOS) - they have an abundance of wing shooters/defenders.. adding Edwards to Rozier, Bridges, Monk and Cody Martin is solid.. we'd look a lot like the Celtics loading up with Smart, Brown, Tatum and Rozier a few years ago..

Edwards would be a huge win.  He's instantly our 2 and his athleticism/quickness would work really well with Graham, Bridges, & PJ.

Still need better shooting but he'd be great for what we need as we continue to figure this basketball thing out in CLT.

Edwards comp is D.Wade..  :Eyes_Emoji_42x42: :Eyes_Emoji_42x42: :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:
I loved Kemba - but it would be nice to have a Go-To finisher in the 4th quarter who isn't under 6ft

The knock on Edwards was that his shot selection was horrible at Georgia but he had to chuck them up because he was on such a bad team. Check this video out:

I'm really starting to like Edwards and prefer him, even though guard isn't our biggest need right now. We obviously just have to take best player available and if Edwards is there it would almost certainly be him. Not sure he'll be there, hoping Ball goes before us so we can have Edwards or Wiseman. I don't want to trade up, but if we did I think I'd rather do it for Edwards than Wiseman. I think Edwards will be better.

Yea...Kemba size caught up to him in conference finals

can Edwards shoot?

thats the main reason I don’t want ball....if we can’t get wiseman, who I really want, then we need wings that are big and can shoot and score

Edwards can score and that is our biggest need IMO.  Now...gotta find a big somewhere if we take him.

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
