NFL: Players being shopped at the trade deadline

News of players that teams are making available for trade before tomorrow's trade deadline...

Some could conceivably be of interest to the Panthers, but we don't know if the Panthers are looking to be "buyers" right now.

King has been inactive multiple times due to non-injury related issues. Fortunately, we have a coach in Pat Meyers who was with the Chargers from 2017-2019 to potentially provide us with some off the field feedback on him.

I'd trade a 3rd for Njoku. Baker is terrible. Njoku could have a Greg Olsen effect by coming to the Panthers.

Dont think we should be in on King. He will have a lot of teams interested so we would have to outbid them. He is on the last year of his rookie contract and he’s gonna want $10M/year at least to re-sign. Despite being very good and very talented he hasn’t been getting on the field because his coaches just straight up hate him. On top of that he regularly airs out his grievances on social media. If we were in a playoff push then sure give it a go but in our current position we should absolutely stay away from that.

Njoku definitely interests me because he has another year left on his contract so we would get an extended look at him before needing to decide if he is worth a long term investment. He definitely has the athletic profile to be a great TE and he started off his career strong. Might just need a change of scenery.

The likelihood this team makes a trade is about .01%. I have not seen anyone rumored to be "available" that would be worth trading draft assets for. This team is already very young, and the Panthers need help from rookies that can come in and grow with the team. Guys that are available via trade are typically veterans on losing teams that are prepping for a rebuild themselves, and they trade with teams that are competing for a championship this season. This is not a recipe for success and I highly doubt the Panthers are buyers right now. Hell, maybe they could get an asset for Tre Boston or Tahir Whitehead!!!

Again, I like Q. Williams, Njoku, Reddick, and now King for the right price.  But, anything 2nd or higher, I doubt we show any interest, and nor should we.

This season is mostly lost with an eye to the future.  If the front office is reasonably assured they wont be able to resign one of samuel or moton on the last year of their deals, might be worth to trade and atleast get some value back.
