CMC Update: Possibly out this week.

Bubble wrap is a good idea. We are 3-6. The division is absolutely going to be the Saints. No chance they finish worse than 11-5, so that’s out the window. We lose to Tampa and it’s pretty much over. There are four 3 loss teams. Heck, Chicago at 5-4 is actually out of the playoffs right now and they effectively have a 3 game lead on us.

At 3-2, there was a chance. At 3-6, that chance is very small. At 3-7, it’s gone. We’d be effectively 4 losses behind the WC teams with 6 games to play.

It's not just that they paid CMC, it's that they paid him early. Extending him the year after he played an essentially perfect season was absurd. They could've waited until this offseason to extend him with basically no downside and given themselves the chance to see if his health held up. So dumb.

And no matter how incredible a talent they are, this is why you don't invest heavy into RBs.  Love CMC, but this sucks for everybody.
