Rhule: I Thought He [Tahir Whitehead] Played Well."

Now come the lies about the players. Whitehead has looked like a blinking MORON for months! He's the reason Boston thought that Bucs RB was coming out of the wrong gap. He goes around out of position, shoves our own defenders out of position, takes moronic angles, and you know what.... I love him. Please keep thinking he's playing well. I want high draft picks to replace him.

This is part of being a HC. If you expect better out of a player, you tell him that, not the media. If he wants to single him out, he’ll do it in practice around his teammates. Not to reporters.

but in fairness, that is exactly what Ron/Fox did.   They gave bullshit answers when asked about obvious problems.

Agreed.  Problem is, he's been bad all year and has continued to play.  We're losing, in large part due to our defense.  His snaps have been limited and yet, when he's in, bad things continue to happen in his vicinity.  If we're losing anyway, why not play our young guys?  Coach speak is one thing, but to continue to trot the guy out there when he's doing the same things is where I start to see red flags.

One of us is gonna have to fall on the sword and give us the Panthers fan equivalent of this gif one of these days.

They could have just panned the camera around the stadium and zoomed in on any random Panthers fan at the end of the first half after that Moore non-catch and got that reaction.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
