Addendum to a recent Saints move

A short time ago, the Saints acquired LB Kwon Alexander in exchange for LB Kiko Alonso and a conditional fifth round pick.

Word now that the 49ers have since waived Alonso with a "failed physical" designation. He has officially cleared waivers and is now a free agent.

The conditional fifth rounder is now the full price of the trade.

It was no secret. Alonso had been on PUP since camp started from his last years ACL

And Alexander has been playing like an absolute stud since acquiring him. His presence has freed up not only Demario Davis, but also Malcolm Jenkins and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and allowing them all to make game changing plays where as before, Davis was stretched pretty thin between all his responsibilities due to not having an upper-echelon running mate at LB.

Saints fleeced and cheated the 49's and should be forced to return Alexander to 49's and reverse the trade.

I thought terms of trades included passing a physical. if they didn't, the trade was voided.

There must be something in the terms such as it being just the draft pick if he doesn't pass the physical or something like that.

Depends on how far they make it tbh, With their 2021 cap situation He's a 4 month rental so.
