Although I feel as though Teddy isn't the future for us, I would like to see how well he plays with better line play and better defensive play.

I think the overall results would be better but that goes back to the issue with most game managing QB's, they need things to be working really well around them to ultimately succeed.

I believe that was a little bit of the rap on Moore coming into the NFL is that he was a guy that struggled a little with with physical play at the line of scrimmage.

Moore does need to improve his catch percentages moving forward. He has had some tough drops this season.

My impression would be he is as physical as you can ask for but not a perfectly refined route runner to create separation. The tendency here is to blame Bridgewater for everything but in analyzing Moores production you can't just ignore Moore, the matchups, route designs and play calling.

I know people are going to kill me for saying this but place two real guards beside Paradise and he probably will be a pro bowler next year. Dude doesn't mess up as bad as we think he does.

Doubt he will be a pro bowler but he could be good enough if he gets more help.

So Moxy beats check down accuracy. Who woulda thought?

The difference between Jake Delhomme and Rodney Peete.

Gunslinger vs game manager. No huge physical difference.

Yes Drew Brees was a game manager but he also could manage that same game going up the field in chunks.

It may be easier to get a decent defense and O line than finding a QB that can single handedly carry a team

This.

I'd prefer a young vet and drafting front 7 on the defense and picking up a couple FA OL and drafting a couple.

Defense gets even hobbled mediocre QBs like SB Payton Manning to the promised land.

Well since his cap number means we're probably stuck with him next year regardless, I'm willing to entertain this notion.

Unless we draft a better option we are anyway. It is what it is.

Well especially since he has been good pre injury, it's not the most wildly implausible notion I've ever heard here.  One way or the other, I really really really want the Oline to be a major offseason priority for this team. I think it's the main thing holding us back from being a pretty fearsome offense. Even if Teddy is never all world, it seems likely he can be pretty efficient with all the weapons around him. If all that is done, then we could go all in on getting a so called "franchise" qb in the draft and install him or her in an already effective offense.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
