Here again, Trubisky went 2, one year starter, never underestimate how much teams will reach for a QB.

As a Panthers fan I hope you are right, I'm just a realist though.

Hindsight is 20/20 and obviously Trubisky was a massive bust but before the draft he was widely regarded as the best QB in the draft. Not really comparable.

Not to make us feel worse about draft slots, but Philly losing makes us #7. We could easily be #10 after our bye.

We really can’t win another game if we want any shot at a Wilson or Fields. I don’t see Lance going that early but with our SOS and so many 4 or less loss teams, we don’t really have any margin.

I think we could conceivably beat the Broncos, but I'm not ready to guarantee that.

Recent weeks have led me to believe Washington will be a lot harder matchup than we thought they'd be.

I'm not confident that the Saints will be resting starters.

And the Packers game? That brings up visions of the Hindenburg disaster (or the WKRP turkey drop). Oh, the humanity!

Losing out is a real possibility. Gun to my head, I think we go one 1-3 but who knows?

Top three is set:

NYJ- Lawrence

Jags- Fields/Wilson

Cincy- Sewell

If we can somehow make it to pick 4 we would be GOLDEN

Assuming nobody trades out.

I can't imagine the Jets or the Bengals trading out. Jacksonville? Don't know. If a good enough offer were made, perhaps.

Most of the people I've seen talk about Trey Lance are cooling down rather than warming up.

If that is true then it is based on absolutely nothing.  Now I can see Wilson going above him just for the simple exposure factor but if someone at this point in the game is thinking Lance isnt going to be good they are just giving hot takes.

I guess the question..Trask v. Lance or do we go for BPA at that point?

I'd probably go BPA, to be honest.

I know some people say you've got to get the quarterback, but I see a lot of folks questioning whether either of those guys are truly franchise quarterbacks.

A guy I was eyeing last year seems to have regressed with only Bateman and no Tyler Johnson.  That being Tanner Morgan.  Pretty disappointment in his year.  Same with Costello.  Mond looks straight up bad, will need a position change.

After these guys we're talking about, we're looking to the mid rounds--Dusty Crum could be a riser and then we just load up on the line in the top rounds.  Mobility and a CANNON.

Lance is a straight up toss-up.  I won't act like I've really seen his game but his youtube vids look super promising.  He seems to have all the tools and was the undisputed #3 until the Trask & Wilson machines took CFB by storm this season.

    • You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection.  as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions.  The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.
    • The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages.  Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to.  People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly.   Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins   Point illustrated.
