Top 10 QBs ranked nov 19 by PFF

This...scares me.

The knock on Lance is fairly simple: accuracy. Since the start of 2019, he’s had the lowest percentage of his passing attempts deemed accurate of any quarterback in this top 10 (47.1%). In his defense, his 11.5-yard average depth of target is the second deepest of anyone on this list. Those accuracy issues, however, keep us from completely buying in on him as a sure-fire franchise quarterback.

Lawrence would run Brady's system here perfectly. Literally perfectly. Like Mahomes in KC. I would 100% be all for selling the farm to get him if he won't play for the Jets. He is just so far ahead of every other QB in this class as a prospect and there are 3 other QBs who are worthy of a top 5 pick... If the opportunity is there because he snubs the Jets we need to be in on that. I doubt that happens and he most certainly just becomes a Jet but a man can dream right?

Josh Allen did a ton of work this past off season to fix his issues. The Bills got pretty lucky. Few QBs can fix their mechanics this late in life.

Yes it was. And his development has been extremely impressive, but it should be noted that Allen is a rare outlier in that regard. Most QBs who come out of college with accuracy issues don't ever get them fixed. I don't actually think it's that big of an issue with Lance and I'm a big fan of his (would 100% take him if the top 2 and Wilson were gone, though I think I prefer Wilson to him at this point), but I will say I think Lance is the most likely to bust of the top 4. All 4 are great, great prospects though and you can't go wrong with taking a shot on any of them high in this draft.

This was a bit surprising. First time I’ve heard of this. I’ve always read he is very accurate. Here’s from Jeremiah: “

  1. Accuracy: I say this all the time: Do not get caught up in completion percentage when evaluating accuracy. Lance completed nearly 67 percent of his passes, which is impressive, but the tape showed he was even more accurate than that number indicates. His ball placement is excellent. He really trusts his eyes and throws with anticipation, which allows his receivers better opportunities to run after the catch. He can layer the ball in the middle of the field (over linebackers and under safeties) and he excels on bucket throws (deep balls over the top).”

    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
    • The nice thing about the timing of Bryce's contract at least is that it's going to match up with the 2027 Draft Class. No excuses, he either becomes Rams 2nd half Bryce year long, or we draft his replacement.  Nothing wrong with carrying Bryce on his 5th year expiring and a 1st round rookie waiting in the wings. Let the rookie sit until the trade deadline, deal Bryce to a needy team at the time, profit.
    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
