It's the playoffs. The league don't really give a sh*t about player health, just ratings. Mahomes gonna "pass" his concussion tests and come back if needed. He looked like he had no clue where he was though... What a dumb ass playcall from Reid there. Mahomes was already hurting with his foot....

They’ll sit him the rest of this game if he is concussed. No way they put him back out there when the whole world saw him stumbling trying to get up.

he’ll play in the afcc if chiefs advance tho

That didn’t look like much of a hit to knock Mahomes so silly.

Yeah it was weird. His head never really hit anything. Looked more like his neck got bent awkwardly. Not a doctor so have no clue if the neck bending some way can cause a head/concussion issue, but he certainly looked concussed.

"If he is concussed." You can get your bell rung and not be concussed. He looked really out of it, but he can shake it off "pass" the tests and come back. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if we see him again as soon as the next drive. I mean, he looked fine sprinting to the locker room.

Nobody wants Slye! Butker hasn't been here in years. How long does it take before people stop whining over him? Furthermore, if he were here missing PATs, someone would still be whining.

It's way past time to stop talking about a kicker that got away. And, yeah, we should be discussing and/or wishing for better than Slye (just not in terms of Butker).

Who cares about xps he doesn’t miss 3 pointers!

That wasn't blatant.

What Bill Romanowski did to Kerry in Ericson was blatant.

What Wilbur Marshall used to do to QBs in the 80s was blatant.

Only the most egregious ones should be called.

Perhaps blatant should be 'obvious' instead if that makes it more clear, but Sorenson dove head first with no attempt to contact via an arm or other body part and hit the receiver in the head. It should be a penalty. Not much else to be said here.

I’d be shocked if he comes back in this game

Chiefs run Mahomes too much, imo. That knee injury last year should've been a sign, but I know they let their best players cook so

Yeah I'd definitely be concerned with the injuries Mahomes has had the past 2 years if I were the Chiefs. Had an ankle injury early last year that slowed him down a lot, and another foot injury earlier this game before that hit that knocked him out...

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
