They will not draft a qb and sit him for 2 years.  Thats not how the nfl works anymore.  They have a modern front office now and I bet they go BPA and thats a top WR.

I agree, either WR or LT, with Smith, Chase, Sewell, and Slater as targets. I guess Waddle or a trade down could be in play if those 4 are gone.

I would add Pitts, but doubt it since they have TJ Hockenson

The 8th pick this year is more valuable than what they got from the Rams.

The Lions new GM is the guy who was "banging the table' for the Rams to do whatever it took to draft Goff in the first place.

He might see Goff as more valuable than we do.

Valid point, but wow what a risky investment for a new GM and a new Coach. I am glad we didn’t hire that GM.

Familiar to me in this case because that's the phrase I've seen used to describe how Brad Holmes felt about Goff when he was with the Rams.

It also is reminiscent of the events that took place in our FO last off-season.  I would love it if we could trade Grier to the WTF team for anything, a pick, a player, a hot sandwich, anything.

I wish we were that kind of dumpster fire.

I meant more historically.  They lucked into Warner and the greatest show on turf, then back to the irrelevance for years until they lucked into the combo with mcvay and that defense.  My main thing is organizationally, they're closer to the buccaneers which despite their success this year isnt exactly a place you want to be compared to.

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
