The Panthers now #7 most cap space in the NFL

No matter what moves we make this offseason, we should be in a healthy spot this year, and GREAT shape next year. We currently sit a little above 35 million after we gained money from the Matt Paradis restructure.

That has got to be a record for most teams in or basically in the red at 16. I am counting the Seahawks, Giants and Texans cause if you look at their list they are basically in the red.

I am honestly surprised the league and owners haven't told the players they are going to take a cut this year across the board to match the salary cap cut. That doesn't help the Saints Eagles and Rams really but it'd draw a lot of those teams out of the red and in the end it would keep a lot more players employed this year than rolling with it as it is now.

This is great, we could be major players in FA this year, make our team much more attractive a destination for either Watson or well built for a rookie QB

Also who wants to bet if the Saints test the salary cap limit and say they are just gonna roll with their 70 million over and see what the NFL does. Can't really stop them from playing without major blow back from the fans, etc.

Lol true but he has a good starting point to work with. We do have a cap specialist working along with him, so that alone is promising over the past years of Marty “kick the can down the road but never have a winning team” Hurney.

This year we are not bad, next year we don’t have many under contract, but our cap space goes through the roof, so we will have plenty to fill out the roster with.

And that’s with 22 mil in dead money. Sheesh. We’re going to be sitting SO pretty in the near future.
