Who did the Dolphins lose to in the playoffs?

Why couldnt we do this too? MIA would have to give up their draft picks just like we would.... our late round picks are higher than theirs.... We have 40mil in cap space and offensive weapons already in place. Also, we have 150mil availabel next year....

The people complaining just don’t want him plain and simple. We have plenty of money, there is no cap look at saints. Even Roman Harper said on radio show yesterday that cap is not what people really think, if you want someone u can get around it.

Okay, everybody keeps talking about Miami being so ready to compete because they missed the playoffs by one game. Have any of you ever looked at their schedule? Let's look at their 10 wins!

Jaguars

Jets

Jets - again

Bengals - without Burrow

Chargers - mid season, only had 2 wins at time

Raiders - fluke hail marry by Fitz while getting head ripped off

Patriots

49ers - this game took place the week after 49ers had all of those injuries, were playing a team of backups, and adjusting rotations on the fly.

Cardinals - only game Tua had all of his starting weapons, he looked very good even though his starting weapons were below average at best.

Rams - best win, only win against a team over .500.....Rams played terrible in first half, Miami blocked punt for TD, sack/fumble/return for TD, another sack/fumble for great field position. Rams almost came back in 2nd half.

If u had proof maybe u should say it because everyone is calling u out. Everything is the opposite of what ur saying lol.

I said he’s not coming here. I told you why I don’t believe he’d be open to playing here. Until he’s in a Panthers uniform that hasn’t changed. You can go back and read through everything I posted. I told you when/if the Panthers would be in the mix and again that hasn’t changed.

I thought the basis of your reasoning was that the Panthers screwed over his idol Cam Newton? That seems to be thoroughly debunked at this point. I mean, he probably still doesn't end up here because the Jets and Dolphins are both in a far better situation to trade for him but your reasoning seems to be completely out the window at this point.

Not fact checking to be disrespectful, but you did say this.... which turns out to be inaccurate based on this report from ESPN. Just curious to why you are so adamant that he doesnt want to come here when has been constantly linked to us each day...?

Has it though? Eh. I told you him coming here will come down to Us vs Houston. Definitely not changing my stance on that based on a post from Espn Upstate.

If you asked Deshaun right now would he turn down a trade to any team his answer would be no and that’s all you need to feed a report. Wake me up when he’s in a panthers uniform. The only way that happens if other teams say no and he’s stuck between returning to Houston and coming here. A long way off from that.

    • He is a great guy but a horrible reporter. He makes my skin crawl when I hear his name. I heard that babies cry and dogs attack him when he enters a room. Other than that he is a good dude. Now go burn in hades u sum bit.
    • The job just really passed him by. He came up when basically you just needed to get three or four quotes, toss a couple of team provided stats in there, and stretch it out to column length. you got your copy in by 330, out the door by 4, then chill/shmooze the rest of the day. If you were really good you got a book deal. Every now and then you got to write an editorial. The goal of the profession was like Peter King where ostensibly you’re a beat writer for whomever but you get paid to just shoot the poo. now it’s a 24 hour job, you’ve gotta be social media savvy, the pace has increased substantially, you’re expected to produce more than ever, you gotta be able to look through bullshit etc. there’s still risk of industry capture where you just become a mouth piece. Sheena Quick is obviously shameless. I don’t think Newton ever aspired to be more than an inoffensive beat writer, but even that relatively simple role was just more than he was cut out for. its even worse when you’re covering a team that expects the Fourth Estate to act as a PR extension, or considers them on par with buying Twitter bots to promote Bryce. there were over thirty papers that covered the panthers first training camp. In that environment there’s room for boring guys like newton, and they may even be incentivized to push the boundary a little. But today that just isn’t the case and most of the guys are hanging on until retirement (person, gantt) or they’re good and gonna be matched up like Jordan. im not defending the current state of sports journalism, just saying that what counts as a meat and potatoes beat writer passed newton by. He’s retiring well past his sell by date, but that’s pretty common for his generation in general.
