Come on man.

also it’s very easy to say he won’t be traded here because the very nature of this trade is extremely unlikely. Signs point to us wanting to be aggressive to acquire him and that he wouldn’t use his no trade clause because he doesn’t want to be here.

the end.

Then should be pretty easy to get him then no? Have fun speculating why we didn’t.

today's hot take? I think we will know if we have a shot of landing Watson on draft day.   Trade will have to of been partially worked out.  Then when pick #8 hits....a QB they want has to be there and Watson situation hasn't gotten  better.  If he is there? Trade has a chance.

It's basically ripping off PFF trade belief that Denver pulls that off at #9.

But I got dragged across the floor for even mentioning it towards the end of our season. I was told by the huddle GM's there's no chance in hell🥱

Without Watson forcing himself out of Houston there's no way it would happen. Even if he does there are other teams better position to make the deal if they want it.

That’s the opposite of what I’m saying.

your position is an easy one to take. Because it’s highly unlikely we get him because of the nature of this trade. Has nothing to do with whatever you were saying about him NOT wanting to come here because of Cam.

I think Jonathan Stewart nailed that one.

by nailed it, you mean clearly an exaggeration?  I mean, we can both agree he wouldn't be coming here to a literal empty building.  We would have some players.  We would even have some good players.

Some would call an exaggeration a lie.  A socially acceptable lie maybe.  But a lie none the less.

So what I guess you meant in reality is Stewart is a liar.

Watson 2021!! Triple stamp it, no erasies. Touch blue, make it true.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
