He shouldn’t have been picked until round 3-4 anyways.  Titans reached big time.  They won’t get anything more than a 5th for him at this point.  And he might just get cut

I 100% agree. I don't see him becoming a tackle in the NFL.  He needs to be moved to Guard

You definitely buy low and hope you got something.  Rhule has also shown a capacity to get guys to "buy in," and maybe thats all he needs.  Possibly get him for a late round pick and if it pans out, you have yourself your bookends for the next 10 years between him and Moton.  If it doesn't work, you did no worse than the pick you gave up.

No one will trade for him, he's 1st round pick and has a big cap number.

Respectfully disagree... unless our definition of what constitutes a big cap number differs.

Here's his base salary which would be all we would be on the hook for in terms of cap hit.

2021 1.1 million

2022 1.6 million

2023 2.1 million

Id throw as high as a future 5th to them.

@TheSpecialJuan Is correct. If you want to kick the tires, wait until he is cut. There is almost no chance he won't be cut at the moment. Either way, his salary doesn't make sense for how little he produced in his rookie year.

4 year 11.56 million contract. Signing bonus of 5.97 million spread out over the 4 years.

Wed be on the hook for 3 years 5.59 million.

Thats backup tackle money hes making.

I'll be generous and include his one special team snap and say that $480,836 per snap for 2020 is perhaps the worst value in the NFL.

Wait until he is cut and then he can be had for an ultra cheap deal. The interest on him is not going to be spectacularly high after flaming out so badly in year one.

I dont disagree what he made in contrast to his play was grossly imporportioal.

But his salary is not unreasonable which is what I was alluding to.

Furthermore I believe he is subject to waivers rather than being cut outright. With his contract being reasonable >2 mil per year for an OT with no dead money for the claiming team I doubt he passes through waivers unclaimed.

It is unreasonable when you look at how his first year went. He was basically a PS player.

Either steer clear or wait until he gets cut. Not every reclamation project is worthwhile and someone that dramatic of a bust in year one is usually someone you want to generally avoid.

If you can get a first round talent at 6th round prices you snag him and hope he makes it a few years without blowing up. If he flops you cut him for cheap. If he turns things around you have a good addition to your line for a few years before he can ask for big money.

    • My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us
    • Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
    • I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field  Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board.  After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
