And what exactly do you contribute to this forum little one?

Not much. But more than just cam threads. There are literally posters here who have pages and pages of history only posting in cam related threads. It’s the same as when he was here.

You do not find that creepy/weird?

It’s realistic when it fits your narrative but anyone who objects is a fanboy....got it

What I stated was not a narrative it’s an observation.

I truly try to remain impartial only looking at logic and statistics. One thing that can't be denied is that Cam Newton is an extremely polarizing player.

I feel like on a Carolina Panthers message board users should be able to DISCUSS current and FORMER Panthers whenever they'd like especially in the boring ass offseason. The only people who find it "weird or creepy" probably have some weird ass fetishes themselves they keep buried deep down so they project it onto other people. Dunno, but that's just my opinion.

Cam just resigned with the Pat's and you expect people not to talk about it? What? Its the offseason bud hate to break it to ya but this is the biggest news we've had to talk about other than make believe trade proposals that we've talked about all fuging offseason

Whats even weirder are the Proud Boy Panthers fans who hate Cam but obviously can't stop involving themselves from posting about him when there is a thread on the first page. Isnt that weird? Purposely logging in to a forum seeing a thread you supposedly "have no interest in" just to go in there and start running your mouth to people who are trying to have an honest discussion about Cam's future. Thats what's really weird.

What's even weirder than that is that the OP took time out of his day to CREATE a thread talking sh*t about said player MOMENTS after news broke about him signing his contract.. You guys must live some really sad and miserable lives to use the logic that you do.

How can this even be said if he resigned before he could even hit the market ?

that’s the problem, y’all are going a worlds distance to prove to the entire board y’all were right about cam, but the evidence isn’t exactly trending in your favor, look who created the thread lol, it’s us “cam” fans that don’t go creating a thread everytime cam throws a td but let him throw one int you got clowns like the op chomping at the bit to create a thread.

You got me miscast. I was really shocked that Cam had no one that traded for him, so the league did not value him. Period. Even for his low salary, forget my shock about the panthers not wanting him. I placed a good bit of that on Rhule and crew wanting their "guy". Once that happened, I thought more than few teams would reach out, my solution was the Bills....but Allen just had a MVP season...so... I even said if I was Jerry, un-tag Dak and signup Cam and watch the world burn! Nothing happened....even thought about the chargers and few others, "Cam is better than _____ ".

After going to the Pats(thought that was a terrible fit with Bill) and year to reflect, league was right and I had on my panthers shades. I watched 3 games of his, one was the seahawk game where he looked in 2015 form. The other two were Cards and Rams, gave me Jimmy Clausen flashbacks. He was pure trash, benched, worm burners, terrible eyes, bad choices, 15 yard misfires etc.

See I was wrong, but I learned for my mistake. League has spoken LOUDLY twice about what they think of Cam, I was one year off. Starting QBs are getting 30-42 million, he got a 14 million super fluffed up non-guaranteed contract. Without all the agent BS, its 7-8 million.....thats backup money plain and simple. Now he could start, also they can cut him without ANY dead money....   I didnt want him to play poorly, but he did, I didnt stick my head in sand.

He played poorly with talent only 5 qbs in the league could make serviceable, point out his flaws sure but being lazy saying his arm is done or he kept throwing dirt balls when he had a 66% completion rate is asinine

I try to avoid the tit for tats and while I have had another handle in the past this isn't an alt...

Cam will absolutely be remembered I'll never forget his first TD pass to 89 over Peterson and high fiving every other fan screaming "we have a QB!"

Cam himself admits he was trash. The only debate is if you think he still has the physical tools or not to be a respectable starting QB.  The overwhelming evidence suggests his arm can’t hold up in today’s league when you have to throw it 20-30 times every week and stretch the field.

You’ve been walking on your on opinion constantly in here, that doesn’t add up.

look at the games cam attempted more than 25 passes.....he yield a significantly better qbr when attempting more passes who would have thought ?

I watched him play, he was benched about 4 times. Starting around week 6 Bill was getting " Are you going to sit Cam Newton questions". They did not stop til the last game, did you watch any of his games? Be honest.

Have you even looked at his stats?? Be honest. Here I'll save you some trouble- Everyone is dogging on Teddy and his TD numbers. Teddy threw for nearly 2x Cams amount. Teddys' total was a giant 15, btw...... Cam had more INTs than TDs. Cam average 177 passing yards per game. His rushing was the only thing saving him form what was one of the worst QB season in recent history.  To finish this and close this case- Teddy had the better season than Cam.

Cam Newton's contract with the #Patriots has a $5 million base value, according to sources:
$2m signing bonus
$1.5m base salary (guaranteed)
$1.5m total in per-game roster bonuses

The rest ($9m) is in incentives for playoffs, Pro Bowl, All-Pro, MVP, Super Bowl MVP, etc.

__________________________________________________________

So its not a 14(lol) million contract, just a 5 million with a bunch nearly impossible incentives. But does have guarantees(only 3.5), so no free cut.

    • Here is how I see it: Hendrickson is 4-5 years past the normal prime for an edge rusher.  However, the smart, elite edge rushers can play into their 30s.  So we would be taking a risk against the odds.  I see him as an elite, smart player,  but in 2025, he only played an average of 15 snaps per game.   We'd be paying him about 1.5 million per game, or $100,000 per snap at that rate. Hendrickson is 270, which makes him a guy who can rush inside or outside, hold the edge, and thus, be productive vs. the pass or run.   We have 2 guys (Scourton and Jones II) who do that pretty well.  Jones' salary is $10m.   I see our need as a pass-rushing specialist, hoping that Princely picks up that role rotationally at least, in 2026. Here is what AI says about age, and it does not lie: An NFL edge rusher's prime typically falls between ages 24 and 28, with peak production often seen around 27, though elite players maintain high production into their early 30s, with some legends excelling even later, demonstrating that while decline can start, great pass rushers defy age norms and can sustain elite play.  Peak Production Trends Early 20s (21-23): Players develop, with younger cohorts showing less immediate impact, but 23-year-olds often show significant pressure generation. Mid-to-Late 20s (24-28): This is the sweet spot, with the 27-year-old age group frequently leading the league in pressures and elite seasons occurring in this window. Early 30s (30+): While some decline begins, many top edge rushers remain highly effective, with stars like T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett demonstrating exceptional play well past 30, defying the average career trajectory.  Key Factors Physicality & Technique: Edge rushers need strength and speed, but mastery of pass-rush moves often develops later, allowing for sustained success. Individual Variation: Elite players like Bruce Smith and T.J. Watt show that exceptional talent and health can extend prime years significantly, with some even having more sacks after 30 than before.
    • I just watched several nfl players break it down and this is NOT the case DJ was running a 20 yard out breaking crosser, he was supposed to flatten that route out.
    • Remember how we fired a coach for continuously taking us to the playoffs, but falling short of the Super Bowl?  No? Me either.
