Go on record. Who still wants Watson?

To be fair, I think most would feel there would be more credibility if it wasn't a known liar and big mouth lawyer stumping his case on twitter.

Atleast that's how I feel. In either case, normally when it's this amount of people coming forward, there lies some truth in the allegations.

Regardless, it's a shame this has happened and I hope for the fair and proper resolution to it, regardless if which party has to face the consequences.

What kind of argument is that to tie those two together? Only a few ignoramuses dislike Bridgewater enough to blindly throw support behind Watson before all the facts have come out. The blanket implication you are making about any Panthers fan who simply wants better quarterback play in 2021 is irresponsible and insulting to all involved.

The desperation for better QB play should not influence the minimalization of the experiences of potential sexual assault victims.

To pretend that isn't happening here is incredibly dishonest. The only reason the conversation exists here is because folks want Deshaun to play for the Panthers.

fug yes that's me. The state of Georgia flipping blue got Trump (rapist) out of office and ended the Republican majority.

But tell me again how Trump and a Republican majority was gonna save the country. We got time.

Not interested in a political discussion. Just wondering why your "decency as a person" allows you to make exceptions for some rapists and not others. You should stop moralizing when you have similar blindspots to the people who still want Watson despite the allegations.

Again this is not about the politics. This is about compassion for the victims. Who cares if you think you're "saving the country" when you support a rapist? Who cares if you "just want to win a super bowl" when you support a rapist? Believe women. As I understand it, Watson's alleged victims spoke out to prevent future harassment and assault. Biden's alleged victims did the same. Stop with this high and mighty act Icege, it's not a good look.

Don't expect facts here--at best you will get spewed misinformation and propaganda, but you are more likely to experience some "whatabout..." It is how Fox trains its viewers.

And it is equally immoral to denounce a person based on mere allegations. The point he was making?  You support Trump when you KNOW he committed adultery and is currently being sued for rape.  Epstien's friend.  30 or so accusers of more than Watson is being accused.  And you don't want Watson based on one side of a questionable story (Watson's attorney to speak Monday).  Is that an accurate assessment of your position on these two unrelated matters?

Eesh.

The nice thing is we aren't forced in this circumstance to choose between two people accused of rape.

I hope somehow Watson comes out of this clear but it seems unlikely he will.  I don't want him as QB if what he's accused of is true.

Icege described Watson as "preying on women by exploiting his power" months after celebrating a similarly accused rapist becoming more powerful than Watson could ever dream of being. The moralizing is a bad look. He doesn't have to want Watson but he should stop acting like what separates him from those who do is "decency".

I have done neither of those things. Reality set in rather rapidly once this situation reached multiple allegations. Watson is extremely unlikely to ever suit up for the Carolina Panthers and that is plainly clear. The majority of individuals making remarks here seem to understand and acknowledge this along with the obvious fact Watson has at the very least been using incredibly poor judgement as a face of a major sports franchise. There are still some fans holding out hope for different reasons but I cannot speak for them. In that regard however I will relent that sports often takes on too much importance in the grand scheme of things especially within the context of societal flaws. America must look within rather than continuing to idolize celebrity and trying so hard to place these public figures on a pedestal.
