PJ Walker is better than Grier.  That’s basically the PJ conversation at this point.

We're in trouble if either is starting (and given Sam's injury history, that's definitely within the range of outcomes). The betting line moves at least 5-7 points if Sam isn't the starter.

Yeah, it looks like he has yet to play a complete season.  Hopefully with better protection, we'll keep him on the field.  Hopefully.

Of course an oline can't do anything about mono.

I don’t know.  What was the line of the Lions game last year vs a normal Teddy game?

I mean I don’t want to see PJ.  But I don’t buy a 7 point swing if Darnold can’t go.

Yet, he beat out Will for the #2 last year...so why is Will still on the team?

Then Tommy's just a TE to you too huh?

The fact that Grier was inactive for nine of the final eleven games of the 2020 season seems to be a good indicator that he has some work to do in order to leapfrog P.J. Walker for the No. 2 spot. With OTAs beginning, Grier will need to make the most out of every single rep he gets.

I know right?  If PJ hadn't thrown those 2 ints in the endzone we'd be talking how we have the best backup QB in the league because he definitely moved the ball.  Rookie mistake, but D came thru for the W.

I'm convinced Marshal and Anderson are going to fix the rz problems.

That's going to depend much more on the opponent. What you need to see if the line moves after an injury report, and Teddy's knee was already in question so that was baked into the initial line.

well, I just checked it. It was a 5 point swing.  I stand corrected.

Marshall yes...but Tremble hands are surprisedly well...add Arnold, RZ should not be a problem this year. But that once again falls on the play calling... PJ made lemonade on that play above

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
