we had a tread-water free agency period which saw us add virtually no meaningful contributors at areas of need and we now have no QB after Watson imploded right in front of us and Lynch jumped us specifically only to rub it in our faces on live television

forget about moving down to stockpile future 1s for Howell, that trick only works if teams want to come up

for a QB

that is no longer there

we are in the suck now boys

Who are Denzel Perryman and Hassan Reddick?  The TE from Arizona we signed?  Have you just not been paying attention?

Forgive me for not celebrating an improvement to 7-9 with no long-term answer at QB. What you're describing is exactly what I told everyone we were signing up for last year when we signed Teddy - NFL purgatory

7-9 is the record we have finished with the most in our franchise history.

Perryman is a LB who will end up on IR.

Hassan Reddick is a nice pass rushing specialist who isn't going to do much to turn Teddy's two yard passes into points.

That TE is a light on the pants JAG WR/TE tweener.

Just the truth.

Oh, I'm not celebrating 7-9 with Teddy, I am however saying it's not an unlikely outcome.

I am a little miffed that we didn't pick up a Trubisky or Mariota type QB at 3.5 mil per season.  They signed for PEANUTS which we could have easily afforded.  Honestly, I'd be way more excited about our team with either of those than with Teddy.

guys that LB from Los Angeles is really going to change the fortunes of our organization

Yeah, its much better to just bitch and moan about us not getting a top QB in the draft and just mail the season in before its even started....poo, before the draft even happens.

I think that depends on what is available. An elite LT or CB prospect is worth snagging. If they aren't available, trading down is wise.

We have people who believe Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance, Sewell, Slater, Darrisaw, Surtain, Chase, Waddle, Smith, and maybe Parsons will all be gone by the time we draft at #8.

We have people here who believe we are destined for failure for the rest of history because he probably will not be able to draft Justin Fields or Trey Lance this year.  Might as well just not even suit up next season if we cannot have one of those 2 future Hall of Famers, amirite?

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
