Teddy- Should He Stay or Go?

You miss the main reason to cut him. You are not alone, everyone misses this.

The base salary is $17M, only $10M is guaranteed right now. So cutting him saves the $7M difference. Not sure if I would only call that "a little Cap Space".

This is also what makes him close to untradable. Even if we convert the full $10M to a bonus and eat it today. The trade bait is Teddy at $7M. I'll be very surprised if anyone want this, and we get no cap saving over a cut so we need value to do it.

What we can hope for is that all the QBs are taken 1-4 and someone other than Denver trades up for the #5 QB.   Than I think we can trade Teddy to Denver and get whatever we can from them.  A 4th or better would be a win.

Otherwise, I expect a post June 1 cut.

I think they'll probably renegotiate his contract in a move to make him more tradeable, and also make him more palatable to the Panthers.

If no trade happens you let him compete with Darnold and back him up unless we have a signing we need to make where cutting him makes more sense.

      T-Mac Jerseys?

      Leaning towards just ordering this tonight, but now I have no idea on size. Has anyone bought a bunch of jerseys in the last few years and can convey how the Game vs Limited vs Reebok versions all fit? These are both Mediums... The white one here is a Reebok one from 2010, and was when they had the "+2 length" on the tag and it was the version with the stitched numbers instead of iron on... the blue one is from 2022 and is the F.U.S.E Limited version also with stitched stuff, not the "game jersey" with the ironed on numbers/letters that they have the T-Mac jerseys in. The old one fits me fine, the blue one was always a tad snug on me, particularly in the shoulders I'm leaning going with a Large based on the CMC, but for all I know, that is made with a tighter cut due to the higher "limited" level and the "game" ones they have for T-Mac are cut more like a T-Shirt and thus will fit more like the old white one I have here, not sure. (and yes, I already tried going to a sporting goods store here to hopefully try on a Lions jersey to see, but they don't have any right now)

      My unbelievable pile is touching the moon now-a-days. Bill is ultra control freak if there was ever one in the NFL, he's the guy. He stayed off SM and hate hate hated the media..........(wow bill what did you do in 2024??!?!?!).  So this guy, 100% control freak, just gave away all his SM to a 24 year old?? He doesn't understand SM at all... This is the same level as 8 time SB winner coming to coach UNC, after all this NIL BS that drove out his other control freak coaching friends.  This time line is insane.
