If we trade back Teven Jenkins is my top choice, i would take him even over  Darrissaw and Tucker. Dude is a mauler and can play either tackle spots i think his upside is on Sewells level. Trading back and taking jenkins i would have no problem with.

I am not sure Jenkins athletic profile projects well to the left side of the line but more so to the right side tackle slot where we presently  have Morton.

With Jenkins mean streak, mauling style and pass protection, i could also see him as one whale of an offensive guard.

I think it does, and even so he can start out on the right side and then move to left eventually. He had no problems playing either one...outside of Sewell all these guys have same flaws in their profiles for playing left, they just need refinement. Also, i dont see it out the realm for them to flirt with moving Moton to the left side. He wants to be paid like a left tackle might as well move him over there. I think he will do fine.

I’m warming up to Slater. He just needs to be a definite LT. I don’t want us drafting a Guard at 8...

I am with you.  Most scouting reports see him more as a guard as they see him as a LT.  Do you want a good LT or a Great Guard or Center.

    • This gets me to the what question would you like answered zone and I neglected to make an entry about Beyce and Morgan/Canales’ hiring and the terms of the agreement that are not in the contract.    The only way this makes sense to me is there is a condition of employment that has Bryce as untouchable for whatever number of years the commitment is.   Because why not put some real competition in the mix otherwise?  Could they actually believe he is the guy? My many decades of watching NFL ball tell me he is not the guy.  And that finding someone to beat him out wouldn’t be a real hard job.
    • As I've said repeatedly, it's baffling how Morgan (Tillis and Canales) is handling the QB room. He's upgraded every other position group on the team in 2 years - and we desperately needed to bolster that front 7 this offseason - but little Brycey is untouchable for some reason. They don't even bring in competition for him. It's utterly maddening.
    • God you read these articles and just realise it's a self fulfilling prophecy. None of these scouts and analysts want to admit they were duped by Bryce Young coming out of College, so they run down every other aspect to prop him up. He had 50 yards against another NFL team. 50. 12 games throwing for less than 200 yards last season. Enough of this utter bullshit. He's a replacement level player - call it how it fuging is.
