Albert Breer also has us taking Fields, believes Tepper is pushing for it.

You have literally taken quotes from the same conference stating they are confident in him. A quote comes up that doesn’t fit your narrative.... must be bluffing for draft season. Sorry but you can’t have it both ways.

I recognize that anything is possible. Have said repeatedly that I don't know what's going to happen.

I'm actually guaranteed to be right about this because, well...I don't.

If we hadn't already traded for a starter, I'd be completely on board with him.

Of course, if that were the situation, he probably wouldn't fall to us because that's just how things go in Pantherland 😕

Personally, I would love to go into next season with two potential starters.  I have been watching football long enough to realize that if we depend on a draftee like Fields or someone we traded for like Darnold being the guy, the odds aren't good.  But with two guys, the odds are better.  I wouldn't do it with any other position, but qb is important enough to risk tying up additional draft capital.

Not a fan of the old saying that if you've got two quarterbacks, you've got no quarterback, I take it?

Depends on how we look at.  I wouldn't keep two qb's for a long time, but imo, we give them a year or two, then decide which one is best and get rid of the other one, ala San Diego when they had Rivers and Brees.

Do the Panthers have a legit starting QB on their roster they believe can help them achieve their goals?  It's that simple.

And that answer is maybe. We just don't know what they think of Sam. Guess we'll find out tomorrow if a QB falls to them.

If they pass of Fields or whoever at 8, take a tackle or whatever or trade back, and then take Mond, Trask, or some other QB in the second or later rounds, this place will explode.

For the record, if they don't take one early, I think the Panthers will take a QB in the mid rounds since the GM has stated he likes taking a QB during those rounds to develop.

Didn't JR push the Cam pick? That worked out well.

Not really.

Oddly enough, the guy who was the biggest advocate for Newton behind the scenes wound up being the guy that wound up with a non-disclosure agreement thanks to Richardson using a racial slur on him.

I wouldn’t mind Mills or Newman, but it would need to be 5th round or later (don’t see Mills lasting that long).
