Well, this should generate some massive arguments

All QBs make bad throws under duress.

I've seen him make plenty of amazing throws outside of the pocket. Certainly enough to know it is not his tendency to be inaccurate.  Quite the opposite actually.

they were desperation throws with no help and crap coaching. i'd just be glad he was trying to make something happen rather than pickles who just threw it into the stands anytime things broke down and his happy feet had nowhere to go.

but yeah...coaching, a better OL, and better receivers + CMC will make his job a lot easier/less of a disaster.

it was on his shoulders alone moreso than it should have been and that coaching staff really handcuffed and handicapped him a lot. i mean they were worse than shula.

It's like they expected him to be Mahommes without a Hill, Kelce, offensive line or a real nfl head coach. Instead he had Crowder, Herndon, did get a stud in Becton but everyone else was below average and Adam Gase.

Did they just flex Zach Wilson's college stats at a mid tier program to somehow underscore Sam Darnold's NFL statistics with the Jets?

"He's Carolina's problem now."

Uh huh...  Alright then.  Lets revisit this comparison after, oh I dont know? Say, Week 1?

Im ready for Wilson to fall on his face, or get put there by our pass rush.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
