No doubt but the results didn't indicate that, even before the season.

Plenty of times. I have never seen a tear down like that in the history of our franchise. It was the most obvious rebuild I have ever seen.

We just don't have a history like most teams in the NFL where we can look back on the glory day of the 80's or 90's.  And for most of the last 15 years we had a GM that was a yes man for the owner and really didn't have a long term gold and just tried to win that year. 

Most teams have multiple GM's in their history that they can say this guy was good and this guy wasn't.  We really don't have that we really have just 1 guy.

Texans have 7 winning seasons since 2011.

It was clear there was a rebuild ongoing. It is clear there is still a rebuild ongoing.
