Maybe it's you. Go outside and get off the forum a few minutes a day. Get a hobby. Make a friend.

This can be said to anyone who uses the internet regularly since all of us are guilty of being addicted to this technology. So basically the entire world you me and him included. The banter here is fairly tame by comparison with the rest of social media minus discourse on politics.

Luckily when actual football starts, the crybaby crowd will just be minor background noise as opposed to the loudest minority in the forum. Sort of the the rest of the social media/media world. The loudest people drown out the reasonable voices.

And we won't have to worry about the couple of player hopping additions, they will all go away shortly. Same as every other "player" fan that surfs over from a college team or NFL franchise. I think @Toomers is literally the only one that actually stuck around any length of time.

When the actual football start, the negative nancies will tone it down... at least at first...

Something like, "go Sam!   See I was a fan all along even though I derided the coach and QB and management the whole offseason."

....until we lose or there's a sack or interceptions then it will be: "see I told you so, I'm so smart".

This place will be filled with those who want to cheer on their team.

Spoken like someone who has been a member of the Huddle for exactly one month.

You are in for a real treat.....

Well that's the average fanbase that isn't a perennial championship contender. It's why shameless bandwagoning is so common in sports.

You can defiantly learn a lot about someone by how they react to the actual games. Even the preseason ones are not immune to emotional over-reactions.

But hey, that's fan life in a nutshell.

I mean, a random Thursday in Spartanburg will have people digging in to a narrative.  That's just the huddle.  It is the way.

Why you got to be douches to someone who wants to cheer for the Panthers?..as if you are some superior form of fan because you were here longer or you didn't follow a QB.

Why waste your time coming on Pather's fan site  to rip on the QB and on people who support the QB?  What kind of person does that?

I've been a panthers since the beginning.

But we're here to discuss football. The hand ringing anytime someone says anything not 100% positive about Darnold gets you all riled up. And really only Darnold. Not with guys like Tre Boston before we let him go or Jackson, or Erving, or little, or Slye, or Thomas.

It's the off-season. We're going to talk about the good, the bad, the mundane and the ugly about a variety of aspects of the team.

Best consistent and toughenup or this site will eat you up.

You realize people can read the Huddle without being logged in right?

Also anyone can see old posts, even  now.  The gameday threads are still there.

There's  no a secret.

I haven't been a member a month yet, I guess that's why I try to make other new huddlers a little more welcome.

I mean, I suppose that you springing to the defense of a non-Panthers fan is what makes you happy.

For the rest of us, we see these transient "fans" trickle in every offseason. Strange how they all disappear when their player disappears.....

Good luck with that.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
