Yeah, that's what I thought.

That is about as pie in the sky as I could imagine. Which, logically that doesn't make much sense. Let's say he is all of a sudden a stud....well why isn't he the #1 or #2? Why trade him?

Grier all of a sudden being some kind of trade bait is a scenario in which we have 2-3 really good QB's. Not many teams in the NFL can boast that.

We got a 6th for Teddy and Allen and nothing for Cam, I can't even see a 7th for Grier.

Never gonna happen. PJ sucks and the only reason we won against the Lions is because they sucked more and our defense played lights out. He wasn’t that good against the Lion and he definitely wasn’t good against the Saints. He isn’t an NFL starting QB. He is barely an okay backup.

Defense played extraordinary in that lions game, but before the game even started, i recall panthers fans didn't even believe pj walker could win that game at all. When it was announced pj walker was playing at the last minute by the way with very little reps, panthers fans (some on this website) were downing him completely. So yall can't act like that win doesn't mean anything now.

It doesn’t he sucked. He wasn’t the reason we won. He threw two bad interceptions. He isn’t an NFL QB and he definitely isn’t a starter. He was out of the league before the XFL and playing against sub-par talent made people like you think that he was good. He was never good and he will never be a starting NFL QB.
Out with the annoying Bridgewater fans in with the annoying PJ Walker fans. He sucks.

Let’s review…

Didn’t the starting QB akaTeddy complain about practice reps in the end zone.So maybe PJ had trouble with 2 ints bc he didn’t get enough reps. But wait… there’s this…

What did P.J. Walker do this week during practice for you to decide to start him? How did he perform in the game?

"I thought he practiced well and I thought he played really well today.

***I thought there were some things in the first half that, a lot of things in our offense receivers have to make decisions, have to make reads and if the receivers are a little bit off, you know Teddy [Bridgewater] sometimes because he has so many reps can adjust.***

****I thought there were a couple chances for big plays where PJ was right, and the receivers was maybe a little off in his decision and it didn’t quite connect. *****

I thought in the second half, I thought the receivers really stepped up. Robby [Anderson] made a huge catch on an over route and I thought everything kind of took off from there.

**Obviously, PJ can’t have the two goal-to-goal interceptions so those could have cost of the game. **

*****Like anything else, those are always combinations of many factors.*****

But I thought when you go 24-for-34 in your first start, you played pretty well. !!!!

I think the big play to DJ [Moore] early on was something that our team needed. I thought it was a jolt in the arm for us. I think that drive went 95 yards. I think anytime you have a 95-yard drive on your second or third drive as a starter, that gives you a chance to win."

I mean, he didn't suck in his start.  Especially factoring it was his first NFL start.

We won.  We pitched a shutout.  He completed 70% of his passes.  We moved the ball well.   We have had plenty of QBs suck vs bad opponents before.....and a shutout W is never the result when you get that from a QB.

He did have two redzone picks after driving us down to the goal line.  Again, goes back to how well we moved to ball with him. The redzone does present the toughest throws for a QB to make.....and Joe Brady dialed up some plays that simply didn't work at all at the 5.  The playcalls had little shot of working.   They were bad.  Or the Lions played it great.  Pick one.   PJ needed to throw it in the dirt in both of them.  There was no play.    But it was also his first NFL start.  So there will be errors.  So call it a combo of the Lions playing it well and Joe Brady doing him no favors down there where it gets the hardest for a QB.

He shouldn't be the reason they won, football is a team sport.

    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
    • I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
