Left vs Right (not politics, Moton)

Saw this from The 4 Man Rush in his Day 3 Observations

RT Taylor Moton split his reps evenly at LT and RT during this session. When he is at RT, Cam Irving plays LT. When he is at LT, Brady Christensen plays at RT

The "session" in this case being 11 on 11 drills... 

Haven't seen anyone else report that his snaps were split evenly, but that's pretty interesting if true.

Person had described the Moton to left tackle talk as "heating up" in the last day or two.

When it comes time for preseason games, I'm wondering if Moton will be taking the second team left tackle snaps.

They are being smart and having a back up plan if no other LT stands out. It's all about having options. That's why they like versatile players.

I like the idea of Moton and Irving as the tackles for this season. I don't care who is left or right.

Some teams have a back up swing tackle.  Could Moton end up being the swing tackle as a starter? 
For example, if everyone’s healthy could Cam play on the left and Moton on the right? Then If Cam was hurt Moton would switch to the left and Brady would go right?

LT: Irving, Scott, Little, Daley, Christensen, Moton

LG: Elflein, Daley, Christensen

Center: Paradis, Elflein, Moore

RG: Miller, Brown, Moore

RT: Moton, Christensen, Little, Scott

I see the strategy-it is the bus theory---put the right people on the bus sitting in the right seats.

Moton is the best option at LT. He was great in his 3-4 game stretch.  Should have left him there a few seasons ago.

I can say this:  For the first time since he arrived here 5 years ago, I think Moton has a legit shot at LT.  I think they want to find a place for Christensen (athleticism through the roof) and would love a premiere athlete at RT.  Irving then becomes the swing tackle, Daley competes at G.  Scott is the fourth OT, and we cut Little. 

I think Elf and Moore are the Centers of tomorrow.

And Moton is a democrat who actually believes Covid19 is real, so he belongs on the left.  Christensen (a Mormon evangelical) sleeps on a "my pillow" so he is definitely on the right.

He might be, but you have to remember the coaches are looking for the combination that makes best entire line, not just LT.

I am really starting to hope so... I do not know why--prolly his workout numbers--but I want Christensen in the lineup.

All I am going to watch during preseason is OL on offense and DBs on defense.

I just think it’s refreshing that we know of, and can see a legitimate experiment that has a chance of working.  The last time something like this was done they went high school and had a DT convert to OL.  While I give them kudos for looking, that one was highly unlikely. This seems to have a legitimate chance at improving the overall line situation.
