I would sure hope he has more upside than all of those guys - 23 years in the league between them and 2 Pro Bowls....at the #8 pick his upside better be 4-5 PB's at least and a few 1st Team All Pro's

If he's another Gamble I'd do back flips - that guy is massively underrated by Panthers fans. This coming from a Hurricanes fan who has never forgiven him for being involved in the 2002 National Championship travesty. That was never PI.

Neither Bradberry or Gamble got Pro Bowls / All Pros because they didn't turn the ball over enough. Those are the flashy stats that voters want to see - that and playing in a small media market at 1pm every Sunday.

Don't get me wrong, I want Horn to be good . . . but that video . . . Horn had the leverage the entire time.  In a game, you simply don't throw that route.  Or the receiver options to an outbreaking route so the leverage works in his favor.

Well he only has one job.  Prevent the throw.   So yeah, he wouldn’t get the PBU in a game because a QB would be forced else thanks to Horn (insert whatever the seatbelt celebration is he does).

Jaycee had a better day today. With refs on the field throwing flags I didn't see him attract any negative attention. During 11 on 11 team drills he had a really nice PBU against Darnold and DJ Moore.

Here he is defending the new guy Krishawn Hogan (who is 6'3 btw).

He was coached by one of the best in College, TRob, and he has the bloodlines. If he's improved his hand placement THAT quickly, and this snap wasn't just an aberration then this kid is going to be spectacular. He's clearly coachable as heck.

Yes. If he's got a lot of PBUs, that means the QB doesn't respect him enough and keeps throwing at him. I want a CB that QBs want to avoid. How do you get that? You do exactly what Horn is doing. You make the QB want to look somewhere else.

Just using the PB's as an example - agree with most of that just saying they never had longevity or the success I expect from Horn.  I liked Gamble and agree his was under-rated - but I don't think he was ever on the level of Revis, Sherman, Ramsey, etc... which is what I hope Horn gets to

    • We have a Bryce Young problem and until it's resolved it's extremely hard to judge our coaching in any significant way. Canales has made mistakes, as any coach will, but he's also called plays that with even moderately average QB play would result in positive outcomes.  Canales' biggest "mistake" is trusting Bryce at all, but then, maybe he's just ensuring he has a new QB to work with next year.  We aren't the only team where players run the wrong routes, we just are one of a couple with a bottom 30 QB.
    • I thought that too Ie trying to prove ‘look, he cant do it under the lights on the big stage’ honestly, im Not sure he is that bright  then again, how many coaches and  offenses have to  fail to prop up young before this ends  i blame both canales and young for that defensive carnage Monday night   Both of them  …and ill say too, if part of the problem is after 12 games into the season, the receivers are still too deep in their routes then either new receivers are needed Or new coaching or the routes are failures  or the qb or all 4  they have had preseason, mini camps, training camp, practice and the season their coach was a receivers coach and now the OC   and they still cant consistently complete a pass  not a good look he has business being the OC and HC he isnt McVay and he isnt Reid
    • That would’ve been even funnier and really summed up the night given it would’ve been an illegal forward pass.  Bryce is clearly throwing the ball forward to Chuba
