  1. 1. Do you want Deshaun Watson on this team? All answers are made public.

    • Yes. I want to win.
    • No. Sure I want to win. But not at the expense of my Compassion, nor my Mortal Soul.
    • Meh, I don't care one way or the other. I just like watching teh Foosball.
    • Other. If so, then why?

Not charged yet, but expected to be.

And if he is, those charges will include forcing three women to perform oral sex on him.

You comfortable with that?

I dont believe my comfort plays any part in this.

Watson, like anyone else deserves his day in court.  If/when that time comes the burden will be on the prosecution to prove his guilt.  If he's guilty they'll (hopefully) prove that and if hes not, then he's not.  I am not going to judge the guy based on my limited knowledge of the situation.  We should all be afforded as much.

At least among the intelligent posters it should.

Would there still be morons suggesting that we try to trade the Eagles to get him? I'd like to think no, but... 😕

No matter where he ends up, there will at least be a portion of people here that won't ever let us forget about how we should have traded for him. Especially if he is still dominant.

I would think your years of Huddle experience would have made this situation obvious.

He likely will get his day in court, and it's probably going to be messy.

But that situation is exactly why you don't trade for him right now. Until this situation is resolved one way or the other, you just can't do that. And this is the view of pretty much every team in the league at this juncture.

You can say "conditional picks", but the Texans have already indicated they won't go for that. And I wouldn't place any bets on them changing their mind. Plus if they do, I'd probably be asking myself why.

Your comfort absolutely plays into this. Are you comfortable with a serial abuser running your Offense. If so, then you are probably in the minority.

And he does not have to be charged with anything. Here is still responsible for his own actions. And those actions were reprehensible to 20+ women.

My years of Huddle experience are a big reason why I roll my eyes a lot 😐

Legal facts mean nothing to people like @iamhubby1. People like him base everything in life on feelings.

I'm not sure I would go with that Defense. He is still responsible for his own actions. Actions that have a lot of people looking at him differently.

For the record, Watson has admitted that some sexual activity occurred between he and some of his therapists. He states however that it was consensual.

Given the number of accusers, it's probably fair to say that's not a good sign.

Until he's convicted these are just allegations.  Civil suits, no matter the number or outcome or use of NDAs, does not equal guilt.  Thats not my opinion, its the law. As citizens if the united states we should all be afforded as much.

Has Watson been convicted of anything?

You invest in the future with a contract.  Do you give $100m to a man who might be convicted of a crime of this nature when the entire nation knows that you knew about it and decided winning was more important than human decency?  We need to value women, not exploit them.

Second point--the reason the NFL is so popular is their brands.  The logo and what it represents.  If you think Tepper should risk tarnishing the brand to try to be more competitive, you would be wrong.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
