I'm not 50 yet, but I would easily take the championship.  If we won against the Broncos, that would have made that one hit wonder season worth it to me.  Winning is everything, and just being "good" for a period doesn't mean much the more years that go by.

The Bucs now have two SB titles from going for a title and FA. I would take the title period.

Tepper hires people to do their jobs, 7 yr deal for coach, got him a good GM

i think Tepper likes being around the war room, but he listens to the people he hired…he is not going to be forcing decisions on them but wants to be there when big ones are made…he hired people that will stand up to him, and did that by design

where we are going to be hearing & getting possibly pissed about Tepper is on the new stadium stuff…(he already got rid of the grass)…he absolutely will build his new one in SC if the price is right and Charlotte city council flubs it up

I wouldn't make the deal. Faust, man, Faust. Never sell your soul, eternity is a long time and bought glories  tarnish quickly.

As to Tepper, Rhule and Fitterer... honestly, I'm going to need some proof before I crown any of them as being "the" guys to get it done. Any old time now would be nice. I'm buying into the "we're building" thing for right now, but by the end of the season we will know what and who we have.

We may well know by 4 pm Sunday. Hope it's good news. As someone over 50 (52) I'm getting tired of waiting.

Darin Gantt wrote on site about what happened in the war room, stating specifically that David Tepper wasn't involved in player decisions, you were directly contradicted

Your imagination has gotten the best of you pal...

...that's a categorically false statement you have made there.

You imagined this (understandable given your lack of understanding of the model)...

...feel to prove otherwise.

Love the Faust reference.

That Lombardi would shine forever though...

I'm the wrong guy to ask.............in my 20s I got to see my team when the superbowl 4 times in 6 years living in Pgh............

Its odd........we won so many SBs in the 70s I personally don't care if I ever had another team I rooted for winning one........it is the opposite of a fan base that has had decades of failure or gasp!.........being a Bills fan.

    • Tell me something I don’t know. I said right there in what you quoted I wasn’t optimistic. I said I could still be hopeful. Which ain’t the same but will have to do.  I have optimism regarding more compartmentalization aspects of the team. Some players. The good draft we had is cause for optimism. Maybe that Tepper is actually being less harmful. Maybe.  I had some for Canales but his meter is about 50% right now with me.  Etc
    • Got a little more juice in us this period. Gotta get these chances to start falling. Ducks and us keep getting these chippies that are missing. First team to start banging these in and I think the floodgates open.
    • The things that make people give up on him is that he is getting worse in terms of simple football things and he isn't improving on much in terms of being a WR. He has improved his drops but then he has increased his insanely boneheaded penalties. I mean, the dude has THREE false start penalties. That is the second most on the team.  Couple that with his obvious limitations in terms of field vision, agility, etc and you just start to wonder what there really is to even believe in. I'll put it this way, when such a notoriously terrible personnel management coach like Canales gives up on you, that's saying a lot. He has ridden more bums for longer than any of us care to remember.
