I think Icky is the best possible player for us to draft. He’s good enough in pass protection. But Darnold is gonna be turning around and handing the ball off a good bit to the backs and Icky is elite at run blocking.

When the Niners use Trent Williams to pull….it’s unstoppable. That’s what we’d get in Icky.

I think that it's possible he goes 1 overall due to just that.

Jax is gonna want to run the ball to take some pressure off of Trevor...Icky could certainly be the pick for them.

I'm a UNC fan but man it would be AWESOME if we drafted a guy who is from Charlotte and then went to college in NC and he became a stud at LT, would be such a great story. Rooting for this kid no matter what honestly

wow this guy is a fuging genius

This thread was started early October, I was super-stoked about him even back then.

I warmed up during the process. Neal was 1, Ickey 1b. Hard to get upset.

I did see his game vs JJII, I thought JJ won. That needs to be posted on the main board but wait cause its only good vibes.

Learn it. Know it. Live it.

I am fuging geeking still

This OL has a lot of potential, and if we're moving towards a power run game then we couldn't have picked a better prospect. I hope that McAdoo gets Tremble involved more to take advantage of the power run game.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
