I think Christensen will probably be a starter from here on out

Let's be completely clear on the OL, there isn't likely to be a silver bullet combination that is going to make us suddenly competitive or elite. This is likely just a "least bad" venture.

Well Christenson got in and did alright, maybe when Brown is 'in shape' enough another spot could be upgraded but no silver bullet coming down the barrel for sure. I mean not unless a team flubs out and we are in playoff contention and there is a trade deadline trade or something.

I think the odds of a trade windfall are slim. Fitt seemed to indicate that.

I would rather not overpay for a guy when we still need 4-6 more guys to shore that line up.

Yea including depth its a bit off. They have been calling around so they clearly know the OL is dookey. Just need to run quicker options for the passing game until CMC comes back and when he does get back that part of the offense just jumps dramatically.

Honestly, there is so much chickenshit on this OL, I am not sure the best way to make chicken salad from it. I will leave that to the staff. I don't envy them in this endeavor.

This is pretty much how I see it as well unfortunately.  The line is just so bad that how to shuffle the terrible pieces into the least crappy version of an OL is not easy to see.   I'm not sure there is a one or two player shuffle or replacement thats gonna help and I'm real glad it's not my job to figure it out.

I would keep both the current tackles.

The interior? Move Erving and add Brown. Paradis is Paradis but we don't really have a better center.

This would be a much better choice than what we are seeing so far.  I fear even if we see that lineup it will take time for them to jel.  So basically the offense is fubar at the moment and possibly beyond.

Another game like today and things are going to get interesting in BOA.

It is hard to scheme away that big of a weakness, unfortunately.

I'm not sure it should.

I've said about a hundred times that I view this season as a transitional season. I know the first few games heightened expectations but so far it's still about what I expected.

Unfortunately, there's so much crap in this forum right now it might be time to take a break.

TBH, I don't think there is a "much better" version of the OL waiting for us, no matter the moves we make.

I am with you on taking a break from this place. I've noticed a lot of the old regulars have disappeared as well.  I think I'm going to head north.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
