At what point do they just have to bench Darnold?

I mean I banged the table to draft Fields all off-season or to at LEAST get a veteran backup in the likely case Darnold was a failure. Well here we are with a known loser being a loser again. I think we should probably just bring Cam back at this point.

I broke the table pounding on it for Fields

So Darnold is definitely going to have another 2-3INT game for the 3rd week in a row. How many games until they just have to give up on him? 6 games? Or just tank the season with a guaranteed loser and draft high?

stop overreacting

    • Lol. As long as we are dreaming I would have liked to hear “well the two year option is about as far as we were willing to go, considering how strong the 2027 QB class is looking”.   yeah I know it would never happen.    But when they do have those internal discussions about the extension, I hope that draft class is part of what they discuss.  Options.
    • His agent is asking for too much money for a soon to be 30 year old TE who hasn't been healthy lately. Ravens have the inside track to sign him.
    • Good points. Love that he's a versatile safety and not just a box safety...or just a centerfield FS. He has his strengths, which I think are the yin to Moehrig's yang, but can also get physical at the LOS if needed.  His drafting is yet another piece on this defense that keeps offenses guessing. Between our DL and secondary, OCs and QBs are going to have their hands full figuring out pressure, shells, man/zone, whatever.  Just like Bryce is on a "no excuse" year, I think Evero has the same campaign going. A couple of small holes, but overall, this defense should be top-15...if not better.
