That was this team's biggest mistake, going all in on Darnold, picking up his 5th year option and everything, and not bringing in any insurance or competition. I was worried about him flopping and us not having any back up/experienced options behind him. Going all in on a guy who played like he did in his first 3 years was a terrible idea.

Sam has been so busy showing his struggles as a passer of late some have forgetton how much he fumbles.  I think he is do to remind folks of that. 

He is tied for 5th in the NFL in fumbles on the season. 5 total, 2 lost.

 

Edit: The 2 lost is tied for 9th in the NFL.

Yeah, it was and is an absolutely mind numbing decision. Jesus, even the Broncos kept Drew Lock when they signed Teddy.
