Hope CMC can stay healthy.  Kinda a weird move based on the current trajectory of things.   Way the season is going, we are going to have to pound our RBs into mush and still lose while doing it.    Seems like splitting all that up would be wise with a pretty big commitee.   And you got to think given the amount we will run into run looks....our guys are going to get dinged up with that approach.

I liked Royce. Ran hard. Blocked

We had Freeman claimed by Texans and LB Clay Johnston claimed by the Bengals on Tuesday. There's plenty of talent on this team unfortunately our QB is holding us back.

Good and good.  Neither of them were good and that means we can look for an upgrade in the off season.  If they were still here, we would be content with them.

We're really complaining about letting Royce Freeman leave?

Wow.

I mean it’s not like a Matt Rhule/Sam Darnold caliber grievance.   It really isn’t about Freeman.  Just thinking about how this brain trust might over abuse CMC in a lost season and after they have admitted throwing the football isn’t wise anymore.

I mean even this year we have seen CMC overused and on the field late in games that were well over.

Royce most likely asked to be released to get out of this poo show. I wouldn't blame him if he did.

how are the last two years of draft picks looking?

2020 pretty good. 2021, I'm not seeing stars yet. Maybe Horn would have been one, but injury shortened his grading period. The rest are two maybes, a meh, a couple of mightas and some guys that have been disappointing.

Hubbard and Tremble are maybes. Marshall is a meh. Mighta been okay includes Nixon and Taylor. The rest just aren't panning out or are struggling to even make the field on what is a really week team, especially when considering two of them were offensive linemen.

Wish I could say the draft was better. There wasn't a lot of competition in front of these guys in camp. And there were some better picks ahead of most of them, but we traded down and were proud of our bargain hunting.

It will be interesting to see how that all goes down with PJ and eventually Barkley playing. I think they all know running the ball all game isn't likely to net a lot of wins.

Rivera did that with Cam too. Left him in games and even had smash runs called during blowouts in the 4Q with minutes to go. I know we aren't pro coaches but does it really take a pro or anytype of coach to know that it isn't worth the risk.

I mean if I was coaching High School for example I'm not keeping in my best player when we're down 20 with just a few minutes left to go in the game.

    • Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. Best place to live?  LMAO... that's your criteria...  Charlotte gets put all over those lists too... come on man... and those lists have zero to do with sports. I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you? There is an actual discussion board on this very site for Raleigh sports since they are so superior...  Maybe it's bc I'm watching Idiocracy with my son, but your timing is perfect, my man... The dumbest among us have become the most confidence in their ignorance... God Bless America!!
    • You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
    • Okay, who is coming. And how hard is it going to be to get tickets? I’m currently living in Germany a couple hours north of Munich. Happy to help facilitate a cheaper experience for help getting tickets lol.
